how do you know if you are having twins. i have a friend that keeps telling me that i am probably going to have twins. so i was just wondering if there was any way to tell

the only way to tell is to have an ultrasound. There are other symptoms of multiples, but they're not really reliable because they can occur in singleton pregnancies as well. Just curious, why does your friend think you're having twins?

since this is my third pregnancy. the first one ended in miscarriage and i had no morning sickness. and my second one gave my a son with no morning sickness. and with this one i am sick all day long. that is why mu friend thinks i might be having twins

Sickness can be more intense with multiples, but it's not a clear indicator. I'm having twins and had no sickness at all. Also, every pregnancy is different, even with the same woman. Have you seen your Dr. yet? They can tell you when you'll have your first ultrasound as that's really the only way to know. Congrats on your pregnancy, have a happy & healthy 9 months!

i had my first appointment with the nurse yesterday and i will have my first appointment with the doctor on the 28th. i am currently 9 weeks along. so i am not sure when i will have my first ultrasound. thanks for the help
