I am not sure.. is that a subchorionic bleed??? What the dr. say the chances were?

the DR didnt tell me what it was or called...just a blood clot. I asked the chances and she said it wasnt anything she could give me chances on.

At around 9 weeks I had a major bleed - I am talking MAJOR bright red blood.. sorry TMI. But anyway, when I went to the doctor thinking I had miscarried, he told me I had a subchorionic bleed (like a little sac of blood) behind one of the babies. He just but me on bedrest for the week and said it SHOULD resolve on its own. Try to take it easy for the next couple of days.. take care

Hi Kristlynne80. I am currently pregnant with quintuplets...but had two pregnancy losses previously (within the past two years). During our second pregnancy, (baby girl who was miscarried September of 2005), an anechoic area was spotted to the left of the placenta when I was about 6 weeks. Unfortunately, we were not told about this (we did not receive the actual ultrasound report until months later) and later miscarried during the 2nd trimester. After speaking with many specialists, our loss probably could have been prevented by either bed rest or blood thinners...or both. Basically, it was explained this way: some times blood does develop behind or around the placenta...and resolves itself....however, there are times when the blood begins to pool....and then clot, which can restrict the growth of the baby in utero. I would talk to your doctor about bed rest...and the possibily of a low dose blood thinner. I am currently on Lovenox (30 mg) injection...and have been on it since the beginning of my quintuplet pregnancy. Also, brown spotting is very common in multi-fetal pregnancies. Our physicians told us that this could often be expected for a few months...due to a possible low lying placenta. Take care of yourself and may you and your family be blessed.
