Wow!! triplets!! Good luck to you!

Congrats, freebird! Gogotrigger-I am so happy for you and the triplets! That is wonderful. I just said a prayer for you! Thanks for answering all of my questions... Sorry, for asking so many questions... This is just something that I want so so much. Just married 7 months ago... Not to be a downer but I was preg at one point in my life... My father and stepfather unfortunately raped me. (At different periods in my life...) I got preg by my biological and got an abortion and moved away and moved on with my life. Now, I have healed and I am married. I pray that IVF works for me. I pray that that was not my only opportunity to get preg. Although, that was well over 15yrs ago... I pray that God gives me this blessing. I am fully aware that it wasn't my fault and everything I just don't want that to be my last memory of being preg... I've come too far for this to happen. We always have to remember that a child is a blessing and I pray that God will give me a double or triple blessing. AF should be arriving anyday now... The tests will begin... I am both excited and nervous. I don't want to stress out. When I do become pregnant, I will be so overjoyed that God would give me such a blessing... I have so much to offer although I was mistreated as a child by both parents. They just couldn't seem to love me or treat me well... But through it all... I overcame... I love children and have so much patience for them... I wish the best for you Gogotrigger and Freebird. Thank God for your little blessings...

Gogo-I hope all is well with you. How are the babies? :)

Hi Monet! Sorry I didn't respond for a couple days...I've been laying around like a slug :D I got teary reading your story--how awful, but I'm so happy for you that you are now past those horrible times. I can't imagine how a parent or steparent can do that to their children!! You will be a wonderful mother--and IVF worked very well for me--even if it hadn't been the first time I would have gladly gone through it again. Not bad at all :D As for me, everything is fine, had the usual bad heartburn, fatigue, and little queasiness but nothing like what I thought it would be. I'm shocked because normally the symptoms are much stronger! But those I do have are pretty bad :D

Gogo-Thanks to you and some of the other women. I am now getting excited about all the tests and stuff. Before I was scared but I am OK now. It will all pay off... It's so inspiring to see women who've overcome... Last night when my husband and I were saying our prayers out loud I asked a special prayer for Gogo Trigger... I asked God to wrap his arms around you and your dh and babies... I asked God to make your preg an easy one... So then my husband asked "Who do you know named Gogo Trigger?" I laughed and said a woman on the pregnancy forum... So, do you feel anything in your stomach. Have you gained weight?

GoGo Trigger - March 18

Lol I don't feel that much but my lower abdomen is much firmer and whereas it used to be flat it is not anymore :D I think it now sticks out about 2 inches from my hips but I bet some of that is still bloating :D I'm not sick (yet) unless I get hungry and then my stomach gets a little upset. BTW my name is Jody :D I guess as far as weight goes I've gained about 3-5 pounds so far--depends on what day :D I guess it's normal to gain 18 pounds in the first trimester with triplets--I'm hoping to avoid that! Just eating what I want and making sure I get all the vitamins I need. I definitely don't want to eat some things! I don't feel anything really except gas! I do have a new best friend though--TUMS. Totally safe if a bit chalky :D

GoGo Trigger, at the beginning you probably won't feel much different than a singleton pregnancy. It's later on when the fun starts :). You may not get sick, I never did. I got nausea if I forgot to eat and that's it. Good luck!!

GoGo Trigger - March 18

That's nice to know :D I know all these people with singletons who are getting sick and you always here how if you're having multiples your symptoms are twice as bad :D At least nausea won't be one of them or at least won't be bad :D

Yeah, my mom never had morning sickness either. They say it's hereditary, but who knows? At the beginning if I hadn't seen the ultrasounds I wouldn't have known I was even pregnant let alone having twins. At about 18 weeks I really popped and started growing like crazy. My pregnancy complaints were pretty much all related to growing so big so fast.

MsMonet - March 18

Freebird-Did you b___stfeed? Did you gain alot of weight and if so did you lose it? Is it true that you loose weight faster if you b___stfeed?

freebird - March 19

I only b___stfed for the first month. I didn't like the way it made me feel but you do lose weight faster. I only gained 27 lbs because I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 28 weeks. After I was diagnosed I stopped gaining because I followed a very strict diet so I could control my blood sugar without insulin or medication. I was eating enough to grow the babies, but I had to eat on a strict schedule and very little carbs.

MsMonet - March 19

Freebird-Thanks for responding. So, is there anything that can be done to prevent getting diabetes? Do you have to follow a strict diet now? Does it have something to do with sugar intake? Just want to start changing my diet now,,, Tests at the fertility clinic start this wk... A few friends mentioned that since I want to lose about 15lbs. I should do now...

Hey Go GO I haven't talked to you for awhile so I figured I'd pop in and say hi!! Congrads on the triplets!! I do have a quick ?. Did you go to Boston IVF? If you did who did you see and did you like them? I have a consultation with them in April so I'd like to hear from someone that actually went there.

GoGo Trigger - March 20

Hi Sasha! Yes I went to Boston IVF. My doctor was Brian Berger. I loved him--he was wonderful. My OB sent me to him since everyone that she sent to him got pregnant :D I was absolutely thrilled with everything at Boston IVF--the care teams are wonderful, I pretty much always got to talk to a nurse whenever I had a question, everyone was so patient and kind. I couldn't have imagined a better experience!! Berger in particular had a wonderful bedside manner and just explained everything. I never felt rushed or as if one of my many questions was stupid! I'm doing very well so far with my triplets. I'm not really sick unless I don't eat...my major problems are wardrobe (I've only gained about 3-5 pounds but I'm out of my size 4/6 clothes), gas, heartburn (TUMS) and just fatigue in general. None of these are insurmountable :D BTW where are you in the Boston area? I'm in Andover but it's totally worth it going down to Quincy for Berger.

SashaP - March 20

Actually I live in Maine. But Dr. Alper comes to Portland once a month for consults. I'm trying to get into their drug study that they have going. They said I'm a perfect candidate a__suming I pa__s my CD 3 follicle scan and blood work, but everything else fits the study. So I'm very excited since it would cost me under $1000. I figured you must have went there and since your pg with triplets it was very successful. Dr. Berger is my other option but I would have to go down there for the consult which is hard for dh. I'm so happy for you!! Did you have better odds since you had been pg before?

SashaP - March 20

Did you get to see the embryos before they transferred them?
