Pregnant With Twins Again

I'm 19 years old, about a year ago I was pregnant with twins. Due to circ_mstances, I had to have an abortion. Not one day I regret and think about them. If I was given the chance to choose this harsh decision again, I would definetly never ever do something like this every again. Knowing I took away something that I didnt have the right to take away, my own flesh and blood, that had heartbeats, it breaks my heart everytime i think about it, and at times I feel I dont deserve to live. Although I know that its very hard to answer this, what are the chances I will be pregnent with twins again?

I'm so sorry to hear about all the pain you have gone through, I hope you can learn not to blame yourself. If there are already non- identical twins in your side of the family, there is a chance you could have twins again. I have three daughters including twins, and I'm pregnant again - its a scary situation and I'm not sure how I'll handle it, but reading what you have gone through has helped reinforce for me that abortion is not an option, and for that I thank you.

I don't know scientifically what your chances are, but I have a little story that might give you some hope. Of course you hear about people who've had more than one set of twins, but I personally know a wonderful woman who has been blessed (some may not call it blessed, but I don't know what else to call it) with three sets of twins, and she is only in her earlier thirties right now. Her first pregnancy was a single birth, and her second was twins but one of the twins died before birth. However, she has two living sets of twins, and her doctor strongly advises her to not get pregnant again unless she wants to run a 80% chance of having twins yet again. Now, this is a very rare occurance, but it just goes to show that there are miracles out there, and given that you've regretted your previous decision so much, you too may be blessed with the opportunity to have another set of twins. It's not impossible.
