I don't think prenatals will increase your odds, but it will prepare your body for housing a baby. I took extra folic acid and Im pg with twins. I found online that increasing your folic acid can increase your chances, not sure how, but it could have been what worked for me.I was also taking my prenatals. I also read that eating wild yams, not sweet potatoes can increase your chances also. GL

The latest studies show that increased folic acid does not increase your chances for twins but I agree with Lcoots that taking prenatals before getting pregnant is a great idea. I took mine 3 months before getting pregnant. I also had to take a baby aspirin a day per orders from my OB. I think that gave my body a jump start so my twins had a healthier environment to develop.

I had a stillborn at 36 weeks and it was found from tests that I had a blood clotting situation even though my baby died from an umbilical cord accident. After seeing a Rheumatologist and found that everything was fine, my OB still wanted me to take the aspirin just to be sure nothing happened again and everything went great.
