This is a forum about multiple pregnancies. Can't you people with all these Clomid questions go to the forum for women trying to concieve?

My apologies. As I stated in my question, I only asked here because it seems that a majority of posters have experience with clomid; something I don't find in the other forums.

I agree. You come here looking for information on pregnancy and have to sift through all these Clomid questions. Very annoying.

I've asked if another category could be created to address these issues. Are either one of you expecting multiples?

To "keys2heaven"..... go to "problems getting pregnant?". Looks like a fertility forum to me.

Oh, I've asked the editor of these forums to add a search engine to prevent the annoying aspect of having to read posts which obviously don't pertain to you. Do you just like to pick on someone for awhile? Am I your target for the moment. How about writing to the opriginal posters of the dozen or so other threads here that have to deal with clomid. Apparently there is a connection between clomid and multiple births, so I naturally thought that someone taking clomid might be reading this and would be able to answer a question. But, this seems to bother you. If you aren't taking clomid or have no interest in the topic, then why even look at this post? I think you are just looking for someone to b___h at.

If the women are here just because they are TTC multiples, then yes, I think they should go to a different forum intended for TTC.. however, many ladies are prescribed this drug, and therfore are at a higher risk of becoming pregnant with multiples. This is the best place for them to gather as this is the best place for information on what they are risking. A TTC forum wouldn't discuss the results of TTC, esp. when the result is multiples. TRYING for multiples ( and all the problems a__sociated with them) when you have no problem conceiving may be morally wrong, but at least these women want to be as educated as possible about their choice. Personally I'm against the whole concept, but even more "wrong" is taking that path blindly. I know it is a lot to wade through when you are truely a mother of multiples, or pregnant with multiples, but right now there isn't a forum intended just for people using drugs to help conceive.. so these women go to "problems getting pregnant" or "twins and multiple birth" because these are the two forums that, combined, address their issues.

You know what mama, that is the first time I have ever heard you sound like a person I would enjoy getting information from. Even if I don't have the same view. When you leave the sarcasm out you really make sense. Someone might actually take your advise when presented this way. Ya know? Now, that's what I've been wishing for!

See, the thing isTiffany, that all of my posts contain actual factual information... but it may not be the happy positive information you want to hear. You take it as an attack ( when I have never personally attacked someone, despite your accusations) when really, it is just information. It's sad that these discussions have to happen in the first place, but it is only fair that they happen with all sides represented. It is too bad that all those posts were deleted. It would be nice to encourage you to go back and leave your emotions behind as you read them. No one ( registered and responsable) attacked anyone personally, and no one continues to do so. What people oppose is the ACTIONS that are being taken.. and those oppositions are backed up with facts... all you seem to see is the opopsition, and not the information backing it up. This topic, Clomid Use ( as well as other drug use to conceive multiples) , will continue on in this Forum simply because there isn't a better place for it. And the topic will continue to have both sides represented, with BOTH sides having strong feelings about the issue ( and only one side, IMO, with facts to back themselves up).

I'm due with twins any day now. I have an amnio tomorrow to check lung development. And I didn't conceive them using clomid or any other fertility med.

Good Lord, is every unregistered post going to be "blamed" on me? I commented on that one, I didn't write it. Wow, good luck Anne! Are you nervous? Are you hoping for a v____al birth or were you planning a c-section?

Both the babies are head down and ready to go..... I really don't want a c-section, so we're going to try v____ally. But you never know until it's time!

Hey, like I said, if this isn't the forum to post questions about clomid in, then point me in the right direction. I did find a forum that deals with medical issues, but it took some steps to get there. I actually stumbled on it by accident. But it looks like it is not visited that often and just a few question about clomid. I was trying to take advantage of the sheer numbers of people posting that have had experience with clomid. My wife was prescribed her first round with it last week. Naturally, having been ttc for almost 2 years following her TR, we knew that this might become a reality. I guess I was looking for some real-life answers. My intent was never to annoy of offend anyone. As stated before, these forums are a great disadvantage because there is no way to search posts. If there was one, I'd simply search all forums for clomid and read and post where it was appropriate. Heck, I may have never needed to post as I might have found my answer. I have tried googling for it as well, so I am trying. I was angry last night when I wrote a couple of comments, simply because I find it frustrating that instead of using energy to answer a qeustion, there is enough energy to create a new post and gripe about the number of clomid questions. And i'm not even going to dare venture into the prescribed vs. u/p clomid debate. Sounds like this is a very touchy subject. Frankly, I hope this works. One IUI cycle at a local infertility specialist costs nearly $600 and that includes sperm washing and ins____nation. And with all of these costs coming out of pocket, we simply wanted to know what to expect and how long we should try this before moving on to IUI. Five 50mg Clomid tablets cost me nearly $15 and that is with my prescription co-pay. You think the thought of pruchasing 60 of these for $323 hasn't crossed my mind, even if generic? Of course it has. Again, I am only here because I care about my wife and her health. I want to make sure we are doing the right things to help achieve pregnancy. I can only a__sume that my wife's ob/gyn put her on Clomid because she's 35, soon to be 36, and even though ovulates fine wants to ensure that there are enough eggs. I understand that the older a woman gets that the ovum can become "sticky" and is not fertilized as easliy. So, hopefully, more eggs, more chances for fertilization. As far as multiples, we understand that this could happen, but the percentages do not indicate that it is very likely. These forums naturally have a higher subset of people who have had multiple pregnancies using Clomid, so the percentages will be skewed in favor of that. Sorry to ramble, but I had to get this off my chest.

Should have read 60 for $32 in the above post. Have keys sticking on the keyboard, so sorry for all the typos!
