Hello everyone! Its so nice to know that there are other woman that think and can share my experiences with. I started clomid on cd1 and am now on cd10. Can anyone tell me when my DH and I should start trying? I am also trying to TTC a girl which means I have to do it a few days before O. Is anyone else TTC twins and a girl? LOL... like conceiving is not hard enough right? Also, does anyone know if (2) 50g clomid is the same as (1) 100g clomid? I have extras and would like to increase the dosage and will be monitored by my doctor too... I just cant tell him to increase my prescription because he does not believe people should take clomid to increase their chances of having twins...

hoping4baby3 - According to my pharmacist, if you take 2 pills of 50mg it is the same as taking 1 pill of 100mg. How are you doing?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and have been trying to find info about what you tell your doctor if you are pregnant with multiples and he wouldn't prescribe clomid. Can he tell if there are fertility drugs in your system? I have 3 kids and have been trying to have another bit my doctor will not help because I had no problem getting pregnant with my first 3. I have mail order clomid but am afraid of what my doctor will say if I end up pregnant with high order multiples. I have no way of being monitored if I take it and that scares me. Are triplets or more really all that common with unprescribed clomid?

Hi everyone! I started clomid cd1-5. My temps were normal and I started feeling cramps on both sides around cd 10. My temp chart said I ovulated cd 11 and everything seemed normal. However, today DPO 4 my temp went down to almost as low as it was before ovulation and I am feeling a lot of pressure in my uterus... Has anyone had anything like this happen to them?

Hey girls! OV-Watch is showing Fertile Day 1 today (cd11). YAY!!! I'm not feeling ANY s/e! I only felt a little bloated some days ago but even that is gone now... I'm still taking Mucinex b/c cm is drier than usual and will use Pre-Seed when bd. I'm getting SUPER excited!!!
hoping4baby3 - I'm not a temp expert but have read that Clomid can impact charting... Did you use opt too? Maybe you are o now... I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Keep bd just in case :)
beckylynn - Welcome! The percentage of twins increases to 10% and triplets 4%. Are you trying for twins?
Baby dust to all! Hoping we all get our bfp soon!!!

I would love twins since this will be my last pregnancy! I would also be overjoyed with just one! I don't understand why I have not gotten pregnant and my Dr isn't concerned. Before all my husband and I had to do was use the same soap! That is kind of what scares me. I was so fertile before, I just know if I take the clomid ill end up with quads or quints! Twins would be fun! I could handle triplets, but more would get me into a ton of trouble at the dr! What if this is just a fluke, could I end up with a litter?

Kay303 – Welcome to the thread! Which cd are you? I think we might be cycle buddies!!! This is also my first round of Clomid and I’m taking 100mg on cd2-6. I’m wearing the OV-Watch but also did an opt this morning. OV-Watch says I’m Fertile Day 3 (cd13) but I seem to have had a LH surge with the opt. I didn’t have any s/e but feel a very mild cramp on my lower right abdominal area today, hope this is o coming. Keep us updated!
beckylynn – I hope you get pg with twins! Have you thought of taking a lower dosage of Clomid in order to avoid quads or quints? Do you o regularly? Here is a little about me: I do o regularly, have fraternal twins in my family (two sets on mother side), am over 30 and a little overweight. All odds indicate twins or higher so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. And just like you, I would LOVE having twins but would be more than happy with one little bundle of joy. Let’s hope we get our double blessings!!!
Will keep you all updated! Baby dust to all!

Hi I'm preg already but I took Clomid days 1-5 on the following system cd1 - 50mg, cd2 - 75mg, cd3 - 100mg, cd4 - 75mg, cd5 - 50mg. CD1 was the 1st October 2008. Due to Hub and I being ill we only BD'd on the 14th October and as we had been so unwell we had decided to give this month a miss and haddn't charted or checked when I ovulated. I have a 28 day cycle normally and tested on the 30th October got a BFP. My clomid was unprescribed and this was my first cycle. I am taking folic acid but nothing else. Will start taking multi-vits soon.
I had no side-effects with the clomid - I took it last thing at night. I also take various painkillers including dihydrocodine and tramadol. I am now five weeks pregnant. I don't know how many but I will post when I do. I don't care one, two or more is fine.

Hello ladies. I am not here to judge, however I would like to wish you all to be VERY careful taking meds that are not suscribed for you. Clomid causes your cervical lining to thin when used longer than 3 months. This can cause miscarriages or an etpoic pregnancy. Also, if you take clomid in a dosage to high for your body, you risk over stimulating your ovaries. Clomid can also causes cysts.......and this is why the doctor usually does ultra sounds when you are on the medication. Please note that it can cause ovulation to be later and is best taken at night so you can sleep off the mood swings. Another FYI is, clomid is best taken from cycle day 3 thru 7. Please know that I was under fertility treatment for 3 consecutive years. I did get preggo from clomid and miscarried both times due to my lining get too thin from continuous usage. I finally got preggo with twins using injectibles under a doctor's care. I would like to point out to you guys, that I love my twins.......however it may be cute to see twins BUT they are hard as heck to manage and take care of. It's not easy like you see on tv. Mine are 9 months old and still do not sleep thru the night. They are in two different directions all the time!! Good to you all, I wish you nothing but healthy pregnancies!! Please take care of yourselves while trying to accomplish your dreams.

I have 3 months of ovinum, generic clomid, 50 mg. I'm not yet sure how I want to take it. We don't want to get pregnant untill March or April now because we want a December baby(we are organic farmers so growing season gets hectic!). If we avoid bd ing for 1 month and get preg the next is it more likely to be twins? I thought the dose didn't effect ygr amount of eggs released. Julix, you seem to know more about it, do you have any links with info on this? Good luck to everyone!

Hey girls! Sorry it took me so long to post. Work gets crazy from to time and weekends seem to fly by! I’m 4 dpo and the wait is killing me! Fortunately we have a couple of trips planned so I’ll try and distract myself until the 21st… O was very detectable and cm was not as dry as I had expected from taking Clomid, maybe Mucinex really worked. Hubby had the flu so we only bd 4 times on fertile days. Hopefully that did the magic but we are ready to try again until we are blessed with a little (or two) bundle of joy. It is too early to notice any signs. I’ll keep you all posted.
Temperance – CONGRATULATIONS!!! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Why did you change the dosage? Did you notice o? Mine was delayed and I was just wondering if that is normal… When do you plan going for an u/s? Good luck with everything. Sending baby dust your way!!!
Montie75 – Thank you for sharing and thank you for not being judgmental.
beckylynn – The dosage question is really a tough one and there is no concrete answer. Some doctors believe it influences the number of eggs released and some don’t. One thing for sure though is that the ovary stimulation will certainly be stronger if you take a higher dosage so we all need to be aware of its s/e. Another thing, the majority of doctors agree that if you take Clomid early on (cd1-5 or cd2-6) you have more follicles but not all of them mature so even though you may get more not all of the eggs are viable. From what I read, avoiding bd will not interfere with o. Hope that helps… Also, these are some of the sites I have used. The posting may not accept the links though… Add dot html at the end… infertilityspecialist dot com and pregnancy.emedtv.com/clomid/clomid-side-effects. Also, add dot htm at the end to tryingtoconceive.com/clomidside16

Julix-Hi! I'm in the same boat as you, just a couple of days apart. Today I am DPO9 and the wait is driving me crazy. I even tested a few days ago although I knew it would be BFN... I keep looking for signs all day long... how about u?

hoping4baby3 – Hey! I know exactly how you feel! I am noticing every little thing! Actually I think all the “changes” I now see are regular to my cycles but I just wasn’t paying such close attention before. What have you been noticing? I have NO signs!!!

Hi Julix, actually my fertilityfriend.com chart just changed and I am dpo8 today, I think that is about the same as you correct? I thought it was dpo10 and tested this morning. Of course it was BFN... I fought myself not to test but I did... Some of the signs I see is I feel my uterus sore from time to time, but like you said, these signs were probably here before, I just never paid such close attention. I keep checking my nipples and I am finally starting to feel a little different... but I think its all in my head... I want to be pregnant so bad!!! Anyway, when will you test? I might do it again in a couple of days...
