Yup, you have to think of them or they get real whiney. It is funny how they will actually complain to you about how uncomfortable they are when you are squeezing a human being out of your loins! LOL!

Don't forget to pack a change of clothes for hubby. You never know how long you'll be in labor. They can start to look ratty from being in the same clothes for more than two days.

This one should stay on top because I think it's full of great advice.

Not sure if I missed this in other posts.. a good idea to bring an empty duffle bag to take home stuff collected in the hospital! From gifts to packages of diapers, you leave with SO much more then you show up with! Oh, and I also brought my daughters baby book so that when they did footprints I could get one directly in her book!

Chapstick!!! or some sort of lip balm because the air in the hospital is so dry you will need it. Maybe a disposable camera - it was great to just snap shots and leave them w/the nurses and they took cute pics for us. Cell phone!!!!... nice comfy socks, maybe a notepad to write down fav nurses names, etc. sort of like a journal.

Oh, one more. Snacks for hubby. Mine refused to go get something to eat so he ended up totally weak with hunger. When some family members of mine went in to have their baby she made sure that her dh had a bag of snacks so he could munch on and off throughout. That way he didn't have to eat hospital food and sometimes insurance will only cover food for one of you so if you have to buy him hospital food he'll end up paying $15 for a cheeseburger. Ouch.

I have to agree with the big underwear!! Those mesh things don't do much and mine were all bunched up all the time-no fun!! I had some granny panties that worked real well!!! And you can just throw them away afterwards cause who really wants them anyways??

Also, make sure you bring enough to last you for a 3 day stay. Even if things look promising for a v____al delivery with twins, the is a much higher risk of an unplanned c-section which keeps a there longer.

I'm usually a lurker, but I thought I'd share what I brought and what I wish I brought. :) I brought chapstick, mint candies to suck on during labor, my own pillow, socks, baby books, hair ties, Granny panties, nursing bras and a nursing pillow (if you plan to nurse), nursing gown w/ robe. I wish I would have brought my own pads b/c the pp is not kidding when she said they are like 5feet long. They were so uncomfortable!
