i miscaried triplets 3 months ago i was 14 weeks pregnant at the time, i am now pregnant again but havent had a scan yet, but the midwife did a pregnancy calender and says im 9 weeks gone but she didnt examine me. i alwready have a daughter so know all the symptoms and i look and feel about 6 months, which would bring it in line with the misscarriage , is there a chance that one of the babies was left inside and has developed normally?

WHAT??? First, sorry for your miscarriage, I know how difficult it is. But, did they do an U/S after you miscarried? Did you have a D&C?? I would think the doctors would make sure you actually miscarried all 3, but I am no doctor.

Samantha, I'm very sorry for your miscarriage. I had 3 miscarriages before my successful pregnancy. How do you know you definitely miscarried the triplets? Did you have an u/s? Or did they check bloodwork to make sure the hcg went down? If your doctor has truly verified that you lost the whole triplet pregnancy than I would a__sume you are just carrying bigger this time around. Good luck!

hi, they did a scan when i misscarried and then operated cos i could,nt misscarrie compleatly.
on the scan thay saw twins and then a shadow of a third baby, if when they operated thay took away one sack with the twins but the other baby was in a seperate sack then i would still be pregnant and the timing would be perfect, after the operation they didnt check me or give me another scan,

First, I am very sorry about your loss. If you had a D&C, that is dilation of the cervix and sc___ping the lining of the uterus. I have heard of tissue being left over but not a viable pregnancy. Not saying this couldn't happen but it would have to be done by an extremely incompetent DR on so many levels since this would never be done with a multiple pregnancy if one of them were alive. Now, the reason you may be showing so soon is because it is close to your last pregnancy and even if you were only 14 weeks, being that it was triplets, I am sure that your uterus was measuring further along and all stretched out. If you have any concerns, I would make another appointment with your midwife for a physical exam and ask for an u/s.
