Hello. I was wondering if anyone had discordance in the size of their twins and if so, were both twins ok at birth or did you miscarry? I have a history of miscarriage. I have had 6 pregnancies and have one 2 year old son. I recently found out I am pregnant with twins. Im currently on progesterone and baby aspirin. I had my first ultrasound last thursday. One baby is measuring almost a week behind the other and their heartrates werent quite as high as they shouldve been. I have another ultrasound this week but am looking for any info that you are willing to share. Thank you.

Hi sorry i dont have any information on twins, but had a question for you regarding when you found out you were having twins, as i just found out yesterday that i am pregnant and it was 4 days before my period is due, i never thought the test would come up with a positive and i done it at night and they say early pregnancy tests can lead to twins as double hormones or something so how could you tell you were pregnant with twins?

It is true that when carrying multiples you may have a higher level of hcg in your system which does have an effect on pregnancy tests. I have a history of miscarriage so I was having my hcg levels tested very early as well as ultrasounds very early. Even with my hcg levels being tested, there werent any indicators that I was having twins until my ultrasound because my hcg levels fell within a normal range. Everyone is different and their bodies will produce different amounts of the hormone. I probably wouldnt read too much into an early pregnancy test.
