NB - November 9

Janet....I am so sorry of your loss...i know how you feel, thats exactly how mine was (but there was never a heart beat in mine) but mine never grew from one scan to the next, and apparently a week should show major progress but there was none in mine...my heart goes to you..we women are made of strong stuff and now 7 weeks on am feeling better than I did. I know what you mean about feeling tired thats how I felt and I have been through 2 this year so how you must be feeling after 3 in one year I can only imagine!! My husband and I have decided to have a few months break and get back to come normallity and rest up and enjoy each other until trying again (and also waiting foe the pending tests) I am at the hospital 2 weeks today to see the specialist! ..... Daniella thanks I will do another test in a few weeks if no period...so do you not think that second bleed lasting 5 days after about 9 days of no bleed was not my real period?? xx

NB- I suppose anything is possible, but you can't ovulate again after a miscarriage or giving birth until your HCG is down to 0. That being said, it takes 2 weeks after that to get a period. So, you should get your period 2 weeks or so, after your HCG was down to 0. Even if you don't ovulate.

janet- hey, if you do go for a D&C, I would have them test your HCG and progesterone that same day. I did that when I had my last D&C to know what it was the day of the surgery. I think my HCG was only at 10,000 that day and my progesterone was at 9. My HCG never went down, but only inched its way up. But, anyhow, the reason I did that is to have an idea about how long it would take to come down. I had it repeated 4 weeks later and it was down to 5. So, it takes about as long to go down as it does to go up. But, also... we knew that my progesterone wasn't sustaining the way it should. Like yours it was OK in the beginning and then dropped. But, I wouldnt have known that if I didn't get it checked. After all the test and everything came back fine. They realized it was just something as simple as me not producing enough to sustain the pregnancy. It was enough in the beginning but I wasn't holding up and it started going down. Anyhow, I sure hope that they give you an answer!!! and I'm so sorry!!

WOW Daniella, sounds almmost the same ! I had bloodwork done last week and my hcg rose from 15500 to 27800, but my progesterone went down to 9 ! Just like yours....so perhaps that is why the DR talked aobut progesterone, I asked for a different Dr because one of the male Dr's does not believe in prg suppliments.Bu the female Dr I spoke with during my last sono saw my hcg levels and progesterone and stated that it would not hurt to have preg suppiments and baby asprin next time I get pregnant. She said she did not know if the preg going down was a result of the misscarriage or the misscarriage a result of the preg gong down,b ut she said taking preg suppliments would not hurt. SO I will keep that in mind. Hopefully my next one will be sucessful like yours ! I am waiting until beg of next week or another sono before D&C.

Darn! Janet... I wrote you a whole letter and this darn site messed up and wanted me to retype it. Gosh! No way, I can do that... but, I just want to say that my last dr. was the same way. My mom called him the abortion dr. he refused to test my progesterone. I had to find someone that would (which took weeks)... anyhow, it saved my sisters son and it saved this pregnancy of mine now. Also... you are right, they say they are not sure if a bad pregnancy causes the progesterone to drop or if your progesterone drops causes a good pregnancy to go bad. They haven't studied it long enough. But, I guarantee it works. Most dr's that believe in it are fertility doctors. Your female dr. sounds like a good one.. she is right that it wont hurt. It can only help. They tested my levels on this preg. as soon as I found out. It was at 19.1... then 4 weeks after taking the highest dose on the market aside from the shots my levels came back at 19.2... So, if I wasn't on the supplements my levels would have surely dropped again. If you can make it to 12 weeks you don't have to worry about it anymore for the baby makes its own thru the placenta. Anyhow, I sure hope they give you some kind of an answer and your next one is successful! :)

help - November 14

is anyone spotting (or did) while on the progestrone ...my dr said not to worry since I am not bleeding...spotting pinkness. Thank you

Daniella - November 14

to help- even my box says that almost everyone who uses it will get some slight weird color discharge. Like pink or orange pink like... Or some call it salmon. At any rate, its completely normal. Unless you start heavy bleeding. I'm not sure on the pills though... I used Crinone. The weird salmon colored slight discharged stopped the day I stopped the medicine. Like clockwork. I stopped the meds. at 12 weeks and the next day no discharge at all. So, don't worry!!! :-)

Well I just wanted to Pop in and update how I've been well since my ER visit I have only streaked red twice once last Wednsday Night and I did a little bit last night again. I'll let you all know how it goes....

Cathy- I pray that tomorrow will be a good day for you. I am fine.. I have my next apt. on Dec. 2nd to find out if its a boy or girl. I will be 17 weeks then. Very excited!! I'm just now starting to get a little pouch but still fit in my clothes just fine. But, in the last week I've noticed the greatest difference.. So, I know its on its way. lol... Cathy, how far are you now??

ashton - November 22

I had my levels checked at 5wks 4 days and they were 41. 5 wks 6 days they were 85. I had them checked again yesterday. By my estimations, if my levels doubled every 48 hours, they should have been around 1400. My results today were 4576. Is this high or is it normal for levels to increase this much in one week?

Daniella - November 22

Ashton- no... actually your levels should triple every 48 hours in the beg. Mine were 134 on 11 dpo... So, 3 weeks 4 days... and then 48 hours later it was at 370 at 3 weeks 6 days.... then 6 days after that.. at 4 weeks 5 days it was at 4467. One week after that it was over 20,000. So, in the beg. it should triple every 48 hours... then when your about 5 or 6 weeks.. it might double every 48 hours and then once it hits about 10,000.. only double every 72 hours. But, it should be about 5000 around 5 weeks. So, even though it seems yours started out kinda late.. it looks good and normal now. Once your HCG hits 2000 you can view it on the ultrasound. But, the numbers don't seem high at all. Oh, by the way... I am only having one with my numbers and they were definitely higher. ANd I know my exact date of conception. That is why HCG varies so much. You can't really go by just the HCG alone. Good luck!! Oh, when are you having an ultrasound?? Also, at 5 weeks 4 days... which is 25 days past ovulation... your levels should have been a lot higher than only 41. So, maybe you aren't as far as you thought or you ovulated late!?
