Hello all. My name is Josie and I am totally new to all of this. I am 31 years old and my husband and I have been trying to have kids for about 3-years, unsuccessfully. I started Clomid days 5-9 this week. Does anyone have any pointers or info that may be helpful? We are excited to have children and hope this is the answer. God bless you all and good luck!!! P.S....all of these abreviations have me lost...help... :)

I live in KY, I took 50mg it was u/p my friend was pg and had some left over that she sent me. I took 1 mo from cd2-6. I did not get pg that cycle, it was the next mo that I got pg. We bd A LOT. I had a headache both mo around cd7-9. That was really the only symptom. I had O pains on the off cycle when I popped 2 eggs. I had a heavy feeling in my lower pelvic area, I also had a sinus infection early in the pg, which is what I had with my dd who was also a twin for 6 weeks. I just had an u/s yesterday that confirmed I am definitely having twins.

For those of you who took unprescribed Clomid.. I have a few questions. 1) Is there ANY way for your doctor to KNOW that you conceived (whether it's a singleton or multiples) using u/p Clomid? 2) Are there any terrible side effects, other than moodiness, hot flashes, headaches, etc.. i.e. anything very dangerous. 3) Where is the best place to get u/p Clomid? Or, if you have been TTC w/o success.. did it take much effort to get it prescribed? Thanks!

I have 3 kids no problem...then ran into secondary infertility and PCOS. My last 3 births and this one were concieved with prescribed clomid under a doctor's supervision. I have 3 mc in between these Clomid babies as well. All have been singleton births. I would not wish triplets on my worst enemy. My friend has natural triplets and it is much harder than you can imagine. Be careful for what you wish for...you might get it. While she loves them dearly and would not trade any of them...it is soooo hard on her. They are three now.

Ok, this is probably a very stupid question, but a lot of posts keep referring to the dangerous side effects of clomid. I've done a little bit of research, and the side effects that I've seen really don't seem that bad. I'm curious because my doctor plans to put me on clomid once I've healed from my surgery (hysteroscopy to remove a septum in my uterus). I want to be as informed as possible. Also, I've been pregnant twice (miscarried both times due to the septum), so I know that I ovulate. Why, then, would he put me on clomid? I know this is probably a question for him, but I don't want to come off sounding ignorant to him. I feel that the more informed I am and sound to him, the more thorough he will be with my treatment. Thanks!

Hi MCBEE. You shouldn't be ashamed to talk to your doctor. You won't sound ignorant, he probably will give you all the answers you need. More than likely though, he just wants to give you a little boost on your fertility.

Hi, everyone, I am a mom of a 8 month old baby boy. I conceived him on U/P clomid on day 1-3(went on a business trip and forgot to take the pills with me). I was very surprised to find out of my pregnancy. I would very much like to have another baby soon. I am thinking of taking clomid on 1-5 soon. What else do you ladies take while on clomid.

I took Clomid for 3 months total. The final dosage that worked for me was 150 mg of Clomid on day 5-9 of my cycle with one injection of Pregnyl for stimulation of ovulation as well. I have a 20-month0old, perfectly healthy girl! I had no side effects that I can remember. Good luck. We're working on baby #2 with Clomid again.

HI! I am new to this forum but have been reading it for a couple of days and find it very interesting and helpful. I currently have a son who is almost 4 who was conceived with Ovidrel which is an injection that triggers ovulation. We conceived on the 3rd shot and 1 year of trying on our own. We have been trying the Ovidrel injections for 7 months now to conceive baby #2 and have not had success. So I am on Clomid days 3-7 and Ovidrel on day 12. Keeping my fingers crossed but try not to get my hopes up too much. I am currently on day 18. I hope this works.
