ok i have twin sisters and my fiance has a few sets of twins in her family....would the odds be pretty good for us to have twins? and if so when is the soonest time that the docs would be able to tell when your preg. if you have twins?

When you go in for your 5 or six week transv____al ultrasound they will be able to see.

yes, twins can be hereditary. i take clomid and the doc said that with clomid and since twins run in my family that it is a good chance that i could have twins. since they run in my family and since the clomid increases your chances he told me to be prepared because it was a good possibility although he couldnt guarantee it. but yes you have a good chance of having wins since they run in both your families.

If they run in your fiance's family it would increase your odds, but not your family because you're not the one ovulating :) It would, however, increase the odds of your sisters having twins. Alot of times when twins 'skip a generation' in families it's the male generations that it skips because while a man may inherit the double ovulation gene from his mother it won't affect anything with him until he pa__ses it down to his daughter.
