Hello? JB? Are you there? It's Erin. Just wanting to know if everything is going alright. I haven't seen you for a couple days.....
Got word from my GP that I have the ok to start short term disability at the end of June. That'll be nice. My parents live on an acerage and are both teachers so they'll be on summer holidays. I can go spend a week at a time or so out there with them and my sister's 3 kids. (Mom will make sure I get some rest, too)
Well, hope to hear from you soon. Take care!

Hey Erin! I am sorry I am just getting back to you now. I was off the last couple of days at work. Well, I went to the Dr. yesterday and we got to hear both heartbeats. We took Carson with us so that he could hear them also. He is getting really excited. However, he hasn't said anything about their rate just that they sounded good. I was wondering why he didn't say anything but I will find out what they are in June when I have my ultrasound. Are you on Dr's orders for short term disability? I would love to be able to stay home for a while before the babies come. Don't worry I am sure pretty soon you are going to be able to feel the babies move and that will ease your mind. Also either rent a fedal doppler or buy that bebe's sounds and then you can check it anytime at home. Good luck and keep in touch!

Well hi! Good to see you are doing well. A huge congrats on hearing both heartbeats! That is great news! And they sound healthy....wonderful. You must have been so proud to have your son with you to hear your new babies. I am calming down in my anxiety. I have come to the realization that I just need to wait. And that these babies are going to do what they are going to do regardless. So, I am tryig rellay hard to be content and happy in my pregnancy. To revel in the miracle inside. You take care of yourself, lady! Write soon!

Keep telling yourself everything is going to be fine and I am always here for you for support or anything else that you need. Don't stress and take care. Do you think you guys will be finding out the s_xes? I am still unsure!

Wow, this is fun. It's Friday and I'd rather chat than work!!!
And, yes, we do plan to find out the s_xes. It make it easier to start hitting people up for hand-me-downs!!! Lol.
And I really appreciate the support. It's just that this pregnancy is so much harder and so different than my first, you know? When I found out it was twins, I expected to be doubly excited but I am doubly stressed and nervous. But I have been "breathing". It helps.
I'm not on doctor's orders to go on short term disability, I made that decision myself. I figured that with all the "problems" i've been having, I'll be better off at home where I can rest, nap and eat whenever I need to. And, I can spend much needed time with my daughter before all hell breaks lose!!!

you know when I first found out also I was so shocked that I probably didn't seem happy. Still when people say things to me today I am reluctant on being too cheerful. I think I am thinking more realistic and knowing that I am going to be very busy with NO sleep! I think it is nice though that they are coming after I already have 1 so I know a little more of what to expect. I am scared myself also but I know that we are going to be able to do it, and when I see how easy my son is to take care of now it is so much more worth it! Good choice on the disability! I wish I could do that. I totally agree that this is a total different pregnancy than the first. However we really had a lot of problems getting pregnant with both of our pregnancies so I look at this as a double blessing!

Well, I am really happy for you then, if you were having problems. My huuby and I were quite surprised by the news of our daughter, if you know what I mean. We were ready and all. Just one of the lucky couples that didin't have to try. And then with this pregnancy, we started TALKING about trying at the beginning of February...I found out when my period didn't come when it was supposed to (March 19th). We were joking around about being fertile and them wham! The news of twins was quite a shock. But, it's funny how you start to find out how many other people have twins, hey? We didin't know that his father was a twin as was one of his aunts. (Both of the other babies dies shortly after birth).
I agree about having twins after already having a child, though. It doesn't seem as scary as having my daughter. I not worried about the labor at all. I had my daughter with no drugs. But with this one, I am open to anything. Someone at work asked me the other day, "So, what is your birth plan?" My answer? "I plan to give birth." Really. If I have to have a c-section, then that's what happens. As long as these little buggers are born happy and healthy.
So, what do you do? For work, I mean. I am a journeyman parts technician and work for a heavy equipment company. I do all of the customs stuff. It's an ok job but the pay sucks. (Yet another reason why I'd be better off at home. I'd get full pay for the first 2 months...)
Well, I should get back to work. Talk soon!

You are so lucky. That is great that you can get pregnant with little or no waiting. Congratultions on no drugs with labor. I got to 7 cm and then they told me that I really should take something. I didn't know it at the time but it was because my son had craniosinistosis and I was going to rip really bad, which I did and couldn't barely sit for days. I totaly agree with you on this next delivery as long as my babies are healthy that is all that matters I will take them anyway that they are going to come. I am surprised people would ask you what your birth plan is with twins. I think it is almost beyond your control with them, I guess that no everyone knows that though. I am a travel agent. the pay is terrible but the travel benefits are really nice. Needless to say I won't be traveling to much this year. We leave next weekend for Las Vegas and we are renting a house boat for a couple of nights and staying at the grand canyon and zion national park, then a night at hoover dam and 2 nights in vegas. So I won't be back until may 31st. I need a vacation!

Hi! No fair! I want to go on a holiday. Is your son coming with you? That'll be so goof for you. I think you'll forget all about those babies and that the relaxation will do a world of good. So, I am growing! Literally by the day. My hubby was quite surprised after not seeing us for a week. (He was working nights.) And, he bought a double stroller!!!! He got it from a friend at work and it is almost brand new! It's a teandem but no where near as wide as I thought they were. It'll be perfect. And he only paid $50 Canadian!! That's great. And it eased my mind a bit because that just showshis lack of anxiety over these babies.
Well, it's another Monday here at work. I hope you have a great day!
Talk soon and take care!

Yes, Carson is coming with me. We are also going with my husband and his family. There is about 10 of us going. My husband is going fishing up in Canada again this June. I will have to find out where and you can tell me if it is a good location. That is awesome about the double stroller! What a fantastic deal! Isn't it great when they really show that they care. I had my husband paint my toe nails this weekend:) He was so good about it. I totally agree with you about growing. I am almost 16 weeks pregnant and I look like I am 6 months pregnant with a singleton! How far are you? Are you feeling any movement?

Hi! He painted your toe nails! Oh my. That is so sweet. And you know, it's the quality time together that counts, too. Ya, find out where he is fishing. It would be neat to know. As for the stroller, it was nice to know that he cares and that he is feeling excitement about the babies. It's got to be hard for them because they don't realy get it until we start showing, you know? I mean with my first pregnancy, Reegan was a little brat. She would stop kicking as soon as he put his hand on my belly. Every time. (But, he's not very patient, either). he didn't actually feel her move until September 1. (She was born 28 days later) I am now at the beginning of my 13th week and I look about 4 months. And everything is starting to get hard. You know? I think I have been feeling movement. Only when I am sitting at work or lying down before bed. They get more active when I drink cold beverages, too. But, I know what I'm feeling for, with this being my second pregnancy. It is neat to feel a tap on one side and then another on the complete opposite side!
And hey, you are going to have so much fun on your trip! And with the Grandparents there, you may have a bit more free time to yourself, right?

I know how cute. When I asked him he didn't even complain. The other day he just put his hand on my stomach because I wasn't feeling very well and he is like are the little ones giving you a hard time? He is just being so good to me about everything and it really matters and makes me just feel better about myself. Yeah, I know what you mean about your stomach getting hard. Mine is a little more stiff under my belly b___ton and that is where I am feeling the most movement. How are you sleeping at night? I am still having some really rough nights. I am not a side sleeper I like the belly or back so I don't like this to much. Oh well just a couple more months. I do think that this one is going a lot faster than the first one. Yes, I am really looking forward to this vacation it should be relaxing and just a nice get away!

Sleep? What's sleep? No, my sleep has been alright. I am a side sleeper, so this is going good. have you bought a body pillow? I have one and it's great. It helps the belly when I put it between my knees. And, I also wear a sports bra to bed. My b___bs are way less achy in the morning! And, I can't live without my fan. I have a fan b__wing right on my side of the bed almost every night.
I've been feeling the little "taps" really low. Well, between my pelvic bone and my belly b___ton. Are you having a problem with panties? I know with my first, I couldn't stand anything to ride below my belly. With this one, I am more comfortable with a loose panty under my belly. But, all I wore before were thongs and they don't quite fit the way they did before....lol.
That'll be my next pruchase, I think.

I am actually still in the same underwear and all I wear are thongs also! I just keep them under my belly b___ton. They seem to be working well so far. I know that I just stayed in the same underwear my whole pregnancy with Carson. I have a feeling that this isn't going to happen this time! I think that I am going to need new bra's pretty soon though. Are you thinking of names?

Hi. This might sound a bit gross, but I wore my hubby's underwear during the last couple weeks of my first. There is way more room in the fron...lol. But it worked and they were comfy! We haven't really talked about names yet. We really just wnat to wait until the u/s. I think when we see two babies, it'll hit home and we can start thinking a bit harder. He like Kale Anthony for a boy. (To me, I think that type of spinach...kale.) I like Sydney for a girl. he hates it. Some other ones are Tyler James, Dylan, and Kalen. Girls: Kaylee, Kylie, and I like Samantha.
What about you?

That is super funny about the underwear thing. So you guys are finding out what you are going to have? I still am not sure what we are going to do. My husband just wants to ask if there any girls, I told him that I want to know all or nothing at all. I will know on June 9th for sure if we are finding out. Right now we like the names Griffin and Ethan but I like Liam and he doesn't. For girls he really likes Hayden and I like Avarie. We haven't really talked about it to much yet I think he just really wants to find out. I really like Kalen and Sydney. I asked mu DH about Sydney and he didn't like it. I have a girlfriend who has a some Kale and a cousin who has a daughter Kaylee. All very cute names!

Ya, that underwear thing really worked! I feel pretty good today. I feel a lot better now that i'm starting to show. They are really there! And if there was only one, I wouldn't be this big...I don't think, anyway. I am taking some vacation days this week, but I have a computer at home so I'll try to keep up with my posts. My hubby has a week and a half off, so I'm taking wed, thurs, and fir and then Monday is a holiday here in Canada. So, 6 days off. I'll probably help him with the fence, get some gardening done and then go get some paint and start my daughter's new room. I still have to paint, do floors, make curtains, and paint the closet doors. Lot's of work, but we are a pretty good team and can get that stuff done in do time. Although, if I do leave work at the end of June I'll have a lot of time to work on her room and the nursery. And if I get tired, I rest. I'm starting to get anxious now. I need to get the nursery started so I can move things in. I'm running out of room to store stuff! (That's not including all of the stuff that's in storage in the garage still....) So much stuff....but it's fun!
