6 Weeks Pregnant

I cannot believe that no one has asked their doctors about the weeks. If you know what day you got pregnant on then you add two weeks before that. So if you got pregnant exactly two weeks ago today then you add two weeks in front of that which makes you four weeks. us women are physically only pregnant for 38 weeks So if you don't believe me and you know exactly what date you got pregnant on and you have a due date, then count back 38 weeks from your due date and it will take you to the day you got pregnant on.

the only way i cud say the day i got pregnant wud be if i had a ovulation kit not everyone ovulates 2 weeks from the day of there periods drs just use it as a guid line that is why very few woman give birth on the date the dr gave them.i still think its mad the way im 29 weeks but really prob only been pregnant for 27 weeks i know why this is but its still weird .

Well everyone I have to say that Marie is right. I found out today that I was pregnant. I counted 38 wks from the day I got pregnant and got my due date. When I went to the doctor he gave me the same due date. He said you always add two weeks in front so I actually got preg 2 wks ago but I am 4 weeks now.

It varies with every mother.. Im just past 7 weeks and I am showing quite a bit ..but i know a few women who didnt start showing until they were 5 or 6 months along.. are you showing now?

yes im 6weeks and my stomach is sticking out and my b___sts are killing me but apart from that i feel great! i read that 6weeks is 2 months is this ture?????????

gemma - November 11

oh my lord not again. 6 weeks is not 2 months, there r 8 plus weeks in 2 months, and if u r 6 weeks pregnant u have only actually been pregnant for around 4 weeks 4 weeks will be the fetal age.

Gina - November 11

There isn't a way to tell exactly when the egg was fertilized.. it is usually around 2 weeks after your last period.. so you are considered pregnant starting the day after your last period.. although fertilization may have occured a week or 2 later.. so like gemma said.. your baby may only be 4 weeks old..but im still confused about months.. a book i have says that the 1st month is 1-4 weeks, 2nd month is 5-8 weeks, the 3rd month is 9-13 weeks, 4th month is 14-17 weeks..and so on..

ye u always find different books tell u different things ita a pain, if u r 6 weeks and u wanna say ya 2 months then say ya 2 months or i wud say if i was 6 weeks im one and a half months what ever u want does it matter. i will be 30 weeks on wednesday its gone so quick.

Has anyone had two EXTREMELY different pregnancies? With my son I was incredibly sick and tired all the time, but I looked great right from the begining. My hair and nails were great, my skin was great... This time I've had absolutely no nausea or vomiting no tiredness despite chasing after a 14 month old boy and I look hideous! lots of breakouts, greasy hair and no change in my nails either. I also was way bigger at this stage with my son, this time I'm smaller. Also, I know from a medical standpoint but I want to hear from moms out there have you ever noticed a correlation between the s_x of the baby and the way you carry, look or feel? Hope everyone is well...

I have one pair of pants that are nonmaternity that fit. I love them, but they too are getting snug. I don't know how much genetics plays a part, but my mom was full size at 4 months, and got bigger as time went on. I have lots to look forward to!!

Mommy of Mason - November 21

I thought I was smaller this time than with my first but I am absolutely HUGE at 4 months this time even though I've only gained 3 pounds! The Doctor warned me about another whopper of a baby, they even checked me for twins. My first was ten pounds at birth and already they're telling me to be prepared for a 10 1/2, 11 pound baby. I am soooo thankful for another c-section, wouldn't want that one comming out naturally! hope everyone is well...

gemma - November 22

im having a c section because i feel safer i cant bare the thought of a rupture but what is annoying me is when people ask what im doing i tell them and they say oh well it will be easier for u or u have took the easy option. i kid u not c sections r not the easy way out. my first was a emergancy c section just 12 months ago.

Mommy of Mason - November 22

I hope you didn't think that I thought that having a c-section was an easy way out. I had an emergency c-section too and I went through an absolutely hellish 27 hour labour and 2 month recovery only 1 year ago. I was only cracking a joke about being thankful for having a c- section this time. I find the only people who have comments on sections being the easy way out are people who have never had a scare or emerg. during delivery or have never had the painful and long recovery from major abdominal surgery. Easy for them to say when they've never been through it. Everyone I have ever seen patients, friends, family who have delivered v____ally have felt great at about 4 days past delivery. Yeah they have a sore perinneum but they can sit up walk with ease and lift their new bundle up. I have yet to see a c-section mommy do this at 3 or 4 days past delivery. Very, Very rare unless you are a tough cookie or you had a booked ceasarian w/o labour and even then it is far more painful than a vag delivery will ever be. Don't let people bother you . you are making a sound decision for your child and yourself, and are not taking an easy way out! Rupture is extremely dangerous if it happens and it's like playing russian roulette, you never can tell if it will happen or not.
