Long Distance Love But Baby On Our Minds

ready but not sure - July 14

My boyfriend lives in Buffalo me in NYC. he' s a professor I'm a teacher. We've been together for 2 years, and have plans to be married. Although we live a part we've decided that he will leave his current location and move to a city that we will both be happy with. I don't don't that I will be happy out of NYC--family and friends are all here for me. He's from the west coast, so his heart is pulling him towards the west. Anyways we've just started trying to get pregnant, this month. We think we're ready. The idea is that by the time the baby arrives our school year will be over, and we'll be ready for our move and our new start. What do you think? Also I do believe we are financially stable. My questions: What if I don't get pregnant? How do we get pregnant? What if he doesn't get a job in a city I like? (he's down to live anywhere?) What if our plans don't wowrk out, and I do get pregnant nd have a baby? We've been planning more for a baby than for a marriage, are our priorities off? Is out desire for a baby clouding our judgement? Also because we live in different cities, I think that makes getting p regnant harder. When i'm ovulation we're a part. How do I even know when I am ovulating? What can we do if we want to have a baby by the start of next summer? (This will be better in termaas of work for the both of us.) ie. He will comt to the city and help me while I camplete the school year. He's done in May, me June. We want baby in june/May. What do we do? Are we realistic or not? Thanks

You can find online a calendar that will show you your most fertile days. Listen - don't worry about moving cities - you get over the "but my family and friends are here" eventually - trust me. I come from Canada and I moved to GREECE 5 years ago to be with my now husband. We are now 9 weeks pregnant and while I miss my mum or sister being close by, I have tremendous support from my husband - that's the key. So if he's serious about marriage, you will have your own family with him and you will make friends. Besides, it's not like you're changing countries like I did - your still in the US and you can see your family and friends quite easily. Good luck - it's not all as scary as it seems!
