I had the Mirena IUD inserted 2 years and nine months ago after having my daughter. Now that I am ready again, I had it removed today. I searched google without much help (just that 80% conceive in the first 12 months) in hopes to find someone with an experience similar to mine and get a general idea as to the time frame I'm looking at. Here is what my IUD experience has been: -Inserted 2 years 9 months ago (6 weeks after birth) -NO menstrual period while on Mirena -NO history of know miscarriages -26 years old and healthy -Never had any problems with IUD (slipping, cysts, uterine attaching ect.) So? Any ladies out there with similar circ_mstances? About how long did it take you to conceive after removing your Mirena? Also how long after removing did you receive your first period? It's been so long since I've had one but before it was usually the 30th-2nd of each month (I had it removed today the 14th so I would assume I start back my old menstrual schedule???) Thanks for your input and advice!
