Bee- Is there a way you could put it up to the light (maybe even a light that is more dull) and take a picture of it without flash? When I took radiographic anatomy and positioning we found ways we could scan an x-ray. I know now with technology, we can just save the images to the computer and send via Email. Yet, if you only have the print its a bit harder. Wonder how it would show if it was xeroxed. lol Think that would be a fun test to try. Once John hooks up my copy machine here, I'll give it a whirl for the fun of it. lol. I know I have a bunch of extra copies of random x-rays in my folder from cla__s. lol. I know, I know... Im a weirdo. lol

I tried but too blurry.....

UGH! Pooryou,COda.I remember that first a/f and it sucks because you weresousedtonot getting it anymore.I hate to tell ya this, but it actually gets worse. My first wasMay 30th and not too bad,and second a little worse, but the past two were really heavy, especially this last one where I felt like i was sitting in a puddle.yuk!I had forgotten how heavy a/f used to be for me before i was on the pill. BEE- THanks for the sympathy for Teddy. He has been doing somuch better these past few days and the diaper rash had gone down toone nasty litle spot and it is now almost completly faded. I think that made me feel worse for him than even the teething. I absolutely spoiled him with letting him sleep with us when he would wake up, but the poor kid wa__so miserable and once he felt better he went back to sleeping alone. Eww - they told me at school that there is an 8th grade boy who still sleeps with mom and dad in the "family bed.!" I am sorry but that is just too creepy at this age! DANI - JD and Teddy have so muchin common, which makesmelaugh because of the look-alike- u/s they had. Actually Teddy is only really clingy at night and whenhe hasn't seen me ina while.WHen i drop him off at the babysiter's, he smiles liekcrazy at her and and bounds away across the floor toward the toys/other kidswithout a backward glance.LOL! But lately he has crawld after me and yelled for mea few times, but all she has todoispick him andstand ta the door and we wave at each other and he gets all excited and starts bouncing up and down and laughing. He actually plays by himsefl really well, which he has done gradually more and more often. BUt he was the opposite of JD- he started out more clingy (don't put me down, mommy & daddy!) and then got more indpendent.I just hope he has that potty training thing down like JD soon! ha, ha! BTW - I checked out your journal and love the newest "baby pic!" TARA - I wanted Teddy to be a lion because i tought the whole red hair/main thing wouldbe too cute.BUt then I realized that all the costumeshad hoods and this is a kid I can barley keepa hat or hoodon,so that would pretty much end the costume.Plus ac hood would cover his hair anyway. I bought hima pumpkin costume instead which I thought was just as good an idea for my litle red-headed pumpkin. It has a hat,but the hat has a chin strap and if he doesn't wear it after all (in case it is hot or he yanks it off) it won't ruin the effect of the costume. I bought these autumn flower garlans at a craft store for th front door, and I want to take Teddy to a pumpkin farm topick out pumpkins and gords and some mums. I would also like to get some "corns stalks"or whatever those things are. I was goign to do all this last year but was d__ned tired by then asI was 3 weeks from gvining birth that Ididn't. The craft storesoldthis littlemini bales of hay but I want to see if the farm has them bigger or cheaper first. I used to loveHalloween like Dani, and then I just kindo of stopped getting into at allfor a number of years and now with Tedy my oldsense of fun has returned. I have always loved autumn, which is especially beautiful in this area. My drive home from work is gorgeous when all the trees turn colors. Ted and i were talking about finally goignto one of the football gams at the hs near us with Teddy because we think he'd like it. I wheeled him overonce in his carriage for oneof the pop warner games that his baysitter's son was in but messed up the time so we got tere as it was ending and he fell asleep on the walk over anyway! LOL! We live near West Point, and actually we would love to go to an Army game- I went once a long time ago and it was great. I kind of miss all that since I quit coaching cheerleading. Oh and TARA -I ahve seen your pics and (pardon my bluntness!) your b___bs look very natural! I would not have known had you not told me so.

okay, now a question.I am ovuating (or i just ovulated) and i have been having the most irritating pms symptoms the whole while - eating like a pig, craving things, crampy, feeling b___hy as all hell. This happened tha last time, too.I can't remember if this was normal for me although I do remember that I always ate like crazy at that time (my sis pointed this out years ago, but i kept thinking it was just another one of her obsessiosn with a/f, lol!).Am I crazy or is this normal? No wonder i always thought I was pregnant when i wasn't - i got a/f symptoms for ovulation and pregnancy symptoms for a/f! Oh and I know I am not pregnant, so it's not that.Just wondering if you guys get the same thing or I should be concerned.

coda - October 5

helen you aint crazy i eat like a horse on the run up to my a/f!! i want chocolate i i want it now!! i am tired this week have got the green death( runny green nose and bad chest) i have been looking after twin boys who are 8 aswell so been buusy danellia and he;len i promice to be in touch soon i have been so lax with emails and thing well TTFN

Daniella - October 6

Helene- Ya, I absolutely LOVE fall and Halloween. I totally know what you mean about being out of it, but now with a little one, its coming back. Its a great feeling. Especially now with being in the states. Oh Helene, I think with Tara we were talking about the "feeling" of the implants. LOL. Some feel more real than others depending if its below or above the muscle, the size, etc., etc. Yet, if you can "feel" her b___sts through a picture, than you have some powers I've never heard of.. hehe. lol. you know I'm just mess n' with ya. :P Oh and on the diaper rash subject, yeah.. JD has had it bad the past 2 days. He was screaming so bad and couldn't even sit down and he even couldn't walk normal. He was running around on his tippy toes. lol. Ok, its not funny, but him walking on his toes were. Anyhow, it isn't on his b___t, its actually right under his "coconuts" lol. Its so red. For some reason thats the only area that gets irritated on him. In Japan one time it was so bad the lines on his coconuts were so raw it would bleed. I felt so horrible and just left the diaper off for a little bit to air out. Tonight after his outmeal bath, we put some barbesol original (the shaving cream) to lather on his b___t. I've been using desitin but the barbesol works pretty good. Hopefully he wakes up better. I think its just his stool has been pretty loose lately. He broke his 8th tooth in 2 days ago. Coincidence, aye!? Poor guy! Oh also Helene, I have heard many women who say the same about their appet_te increasing after ovulation up to AF. Also, mimicing same pregnancy symptoms. I couldn't even count how many times this one lady on the other forum just "swore" she was pregnant all the time because of it. Even after she had a neg. test and got AF, she would then say she had to of had a miscarriage because she knows for a fact she was pregnant because of the symptoms. I'm just like whatever. You can't call it a miscarriage if it was never confirmed or heck, never even had a + hpt. I think if they are getting more intense now it could be because your off the pill. Just a thought. __Coda- No worries!! I just think about you often and hope everything is going well your way. Just write when you get a chance. Hopefully everything settles down for you soon. :)

Helene - October 8

Hi! Thanks ladies. teh pms symptoms stoped almost overnight. They will be back in 1 1/2 weeks, ha, ha! Hey, you could always tell that lady to do her temps and figure out her basline whatever because then she would see that unless she had 18 high temps, she hadn't conceived. I know that book i read said that sometimes happens, but every month? EVen more than a once seems unlikely. Danielle - i totally understand. we are the same way. you're not laughing at JD's pain, just the cute thing he is doing to avoid it. Tedy's DR was the same -all around the family jewels and looked absolutely angry and I felt so awful for him. He would cry when we changed him poor kid. He didn't get it al the other timres, and I used to out diaper creme on him religiously evry time i changed him (my mom said to do this because he is so fair). Then i cut back to just when he pooped or overnight because he struggled so much to stand up that it was all I coudl do to change him without help. He got a teeny bit in the summer from the heat but it cleared sup so quickly. This however was awful and lasted for at least a week. The week before he got it i was picking him up form the babysitter and she was changing the other little oy who is a month older and he had the same thing whcih is how i knew that it was form his teeth (that and his little fist halfway down his throat as he chomped on it poor baby). It is al gone except this one littl itny pacth on the lower right side next his "coconuts" (as you put it LOL) that has faded in color but stilllooks dry and sometimes flares up. I slather the kid with the stuf now. Switched to A&D ointment during the worst of it. His teeth were bothering him again tonight -absolutely inconsolable crying - Ted tried to hold him but he just cried for me then even when i held him he cried and twisted and writhed poor baby. I hgave him tylenol and rubed the gel on his gums which he usually likes but the gel only slowed him down slightly. The ni gave him these hylands tablest and after they and the tylenol kicked in he calmed down. I basically just held him until it did. AT that point it was diner time and he was much happier so I fed him some cold baby food from teh refrigerator which i think felt good against his gums. He was fine after that. BUt he took along time to go to sleep tonight. Up 2 hours latre than usual - don't know if that was why. Ted's cousin told us that when she was a baby she would get it so bad that her mom left her diaper off because there was nothing she could do to relieve it and she,too was trying to air her out or at leats minimze the iritation. I considered the same but figured he would pee all over, but if it ever happens again i may just put a waterproof sheet/pad on his pack and play and put him in it without a diaperto see if ti helps him. I bathed him every night and kept him in the bath longer to soak. I use the aveeno baby wash, the creamy one for excema because he had a little bit at first and he is so ridiciuldoulsy sensitive (takes after both mom and dad). my ped said that johnson's is c___p. I never heard of the barabsol thing, although one of the teachers i work with said her doc told her to use the stuff for athletes foot (lotrimin or someting, i forget). Love your zoo idea. My sis and IL dressed up as these huge dukcs one year and their daughter was a little duck. It was hysterical. My sis used to get really inot Halloween. One yera she was one of teh cats form the play CATS and she looked amazing because she is a hairdresser and her hair and makeup were perect and my brother (artist) used his airbrush to paint her bodysuit and tights. the bets Halloween costume I everhad was one year I wanted to dress up as one of the chicsk form the B-52's, but ended up just dressing up from the early '60's. I had on this color blocked mini dressthat looekd lie it came out of Marcia Brady's closet (actually itwas from grandma's!) and my sister gave me this mile high beehive that was indestructible. Peopel kept asking to touch my hair all night. We went down to the village (Greenwich) to see the parade. We saw a unch of guys dressed as the Beatles (all the girls kept doing mock screams) and I was like, hey I 'm your groupie! My one friend was dressed as ICE-T and he everyone would notice and wave at him. Actually we used to go to the parade every year, but half the time we'dmiss it because it would be cold and no one wanted to leave the bars, ha! Hey Tracy - when you have time, we will hear from you. I can only imagine what it must be like to run after Rogue and two 8 year-olds! Sleep is a priority so get it while you can.speaking of which, it is back to sleep for me! I just got up to put the dishwasher on and doa few things while the house was quiet. nitey night!

Well, had my appointment yesterday. I was 10 weeks 1 day. Dunno if you gals read my journal but here's a shocker... the doctor that came into my room was the same one I had in Japan. She transfered the same time we did but what a small world to the same place. Not to mention Bethesda Hospital is HUGE with over 27 OB's. So, it was quite rare she was my doctor. What a small small world. Crazy! Anyhow, the baby measured perfect. His/her arms were swinging up and down and the HR was in the 150's. Also, the cyst on my ovary is going down. So, everything looked great! ___Helene- We no longer give JD a bath every night. I'll give him one night and then John will give him a bath the night after the next. So, every 2 days. I think he had more b___t problems when we gave him more baths. So, everything is going good now. As far as Johnson's... wow, I've never heard anything bad at it at all. In fact most all pedi's say its the best and thats the only stuff that works on JD. Of course the sensitive. Any other product, JD will get a slight irritation. His skin will look like he had sun and then go away. Johnson's doesn't do that at all. Its so sensitive and made well. I guess its just what works best for your baby. Same with baby wipes. The pampers hurt JD pretty bad but the cheap ones (pure n' Gentle) work the best for him. It will be interesting if the next baby can use the same stuff. lol. I sure hope so! I'd hate to have to buy 2 different brands of things.

Tara S - October 10

Daniella, Im so happy to hear that everything is looking good with the baby. That is so cool that you got the same doctor as you did in Japan, almost like it was meant to be. I love Halloween and fall its my favorite time of year. I like getting the kids pictures done outdoors in the leaves with the pretty autumn colors. Helene, Takira is teething also, but hasent got any teeth yet. Evenings are really bad and I have a hard time getting anything done. She is also getting a nasty diaper rash plus a cold . Actually she is always congested and I took her into the doctor a few months ago to ask him about it and he just said it was a cold. It really worries me because every month since she was born she has spent 3 weeks with cold symptoms. I also get pms symptoms when ovulating and pregnancy symptoms when I get af.

Bee99 - October 10

Hey all ....In the hospitals Midwifry here they use Johnsons products . Daniella glad bubs is well, Its amazing how babes heat rate can differ so much mine was 135BPM

Daniella - October 11

Tara- Sorry to hear about Takira's cold. Hope she feels better soon. I also love this time of the year. This weekend we are going to a pumpkin patch festival thing that has hay rides and all that. Should be fun. :) Oh and Tara, JD broke his first tooth at 9 months and didn't get his 2nd tooth in until 10 months. __Bee- Ya, I really like the Johnsons products. I can't believe Helenes doctor doesn't like the products, I wonder why? Never heard that. Hmmm... Oh Bee, JD's heartrate was always in the 160's. I think it was 167 at his 7 week 5 day scan and then 165 or so at his 11 week scan. So, this one being 150 is the lowest I have ever seen. Except for the one I lost at just over 12 weeks. That hr was low and then finally stopped. :( So, I am glad this one is 150+. I was just surprised JD's stayed so high.

Daniella - October 11

Helene- you got me curious now... did little teds pedi say why? Gosh, I sure hope nothing is wrong with them. :/

Helene - October 11

Danielle & Bee & Tara -Nah, she never said why she didn't like them, so I just always chalked it up either toher own personal preference or the fact that Teddy's skin os so fair and sensitive. I use the aveeno because i like it and it wa sth eonly one at the time i saw that said for eczema and my nience also has exzema & my sis used aveeno also. plus i had used the adult stuff in the past when i had dry itchy skin. the exzema appeared to go away after i switched, but quite honestly it was so little that I alwyas kindo fthought he was just outgrowing it anyway. I wouldn't worry about it as i have heard no one else say negative things about johnson's. i just thought it was such a strange comment. and speakgin of itchy reactions and pumpkins, we took Teddy to this farm near us and I took some pics of him amidst these pumpkins. When we got home we were playing with him very briefly on the front lawn and he was grabing at the fallen leaves (he loves to pull at the gra__s or leaves and just open and close his fist and watch them fall through his fingers). Later after his nap I noticed he had this huge red mark on his left cheek,a smaller redmark in the corner of his eye like he'd rubbed it,and he had these smaler little exzema looking marks along his right side of his chin. Ted kept insisting it was a heta rash and I said no it was hives, I know what hives look like. I have hima bath and used the aveeno moisturizer as well and then his entire left cheek was red because of me rubbing it (that is how sensitive he is!). Anyway, it was gone by morning. We think he touched somethign in the gra__s r by the pumpkins that makde him break out. I used to give Teddy a bath every night, too, but stopped about 2 months ago and switched to every other nightbecause i figured he was old enough. iwas very torn at first because i read thta some peopel think that nightly baths contributed to things like asthma, yet I had my mom, the nurse who did the childcare cla__s and i forget who else saying bath the baby nightly. plus he liked it so much and the routine helped him sleep. in teddy's case, he got more b___t issues after i stopped bathing him nightly, but not immediately after, so i don't thin it wa sthe baths, i think it was the teething. Yeah, Tara - I don't know what is worse -- teething and breaking those teeth early or teething for a long time and taking months for the teeth to come in. Teddy's front teeth came in very quickly, the ones along side them came in a litle slower and now the molars can be felt very close below the gums which explains his on again off again crying jags that come out of nowhere and then end abruptly . FOra long time I feltnothing, then it was all bumpy fora while, now i actually feel the ridge and the babysitter did, too. I think they wil be in within 2 months. I hope so - I feel so bad for the poor kid. Hey,I did this post-natal yoga tae over the weekend and I felt like a new woman! My back was in heaven - I stood up the srtaightest I have in over a year and the next day I went outside and cleane up the front , side and back yards, clipping all the dead pants and trimming the bushes that I have been meaning to do since forever. Bending did not make me feel oldand decrepit for a change. ANd i steped on the scale today and saw i'd lost 5 lbs which was a happy little surprise.

Helene - October 11

Daniella - so glad to hear all the good news about the litle one. I don't remember Teddy's heart beat, just taht it was always in the low range - once i thinki t was aslow as 125. I think it was mainly in the 130-145 range and only once in the 150's. He was a mellow baby in the womb, and now he is constant motion! ha!

Helene - October 11

okay, meant to add that I hope Taklira is doing well soon.Could the coldbe from teething? Also, Danielle, I forgot to mention that I was bathing him nightly during the diaper rash epsiode so i could soak his little bottom which seemed to relieve it. plus he kept pooping like crazy so i was like, that is it, you are getting a bath and soaking, buddy! LOL! 'cause the big pooping epsiodes just seemed to aggravate the rash.
