My husband and I are a happy couple who have been married for 6 years this past August. We have both wanted children for some time and considered adoption in the past. This year we found that will be our only option to have children, as it is impossible for me to become pregnant. To be honest, it does make me a little sad, but only at the decreased likelyhood of being able to become a parent. A child being biologically ours, or the race of the child matters less to us than the ability to love and raise that child. We are fun loving, relaxed, and creative people who know how to have a good time but to be serious when needed. We have lived through Hurricane Katrina, and are therefore VERY familiar with pushing through hardships and allowing them to make our relationship bonds stronger. We have a good support structure a happy household. We do have pets, as I love animals. So it seems all my children right now have paws. We are patient and not in a rush, but we would love to be able to raise a child.
