I work in the hospital, where germs & viruses are in the air. I plan to pump br___tmilk, but have no idea how and where I can do it. I wish employers would provide br___t pumping room for their employees.

At a previous employer a co-worker requested a private room for pumping and she got it! It was a small room (maybe even a large storage closet) that they put a couple of chairs in and a table (with sanitizing stuff)...maybe you could ask for something like that. At my current employer they have a "sick room" within the ladies bathroom that can be used for pumping. Good luck!

does the hospital have a L&D area. I know that my hospital had a pumping room next to the NICU. Maybe you can use that room.

I used the archives room at work and would take stuff in to read. The important thing is having somewhere quiet where you aren't worried about being walked in on. Its easier to pump if you are relaxed.

Just for the record-I know here in Illinois, your employer has to provide somewhere other than a restroom for you to pump.

hp- depending on the state you live in, it is a building code that there must be a room for mothers, sometimes called mothers and others room or mothers room. What state do you live in? I can look it up for you. You just have to tell your employer you need a room and if they don't get you a room, they could have some heafty fines for code vialations.
