I do not know your procedures but I would tell whoever is in charge of you so you can get home safely and take care of yourself and baby.

rl- she said she bought the test at an affes exchange- that is a military store! No- not every one knows exactly how to tell their chain of command. Why would someone fake this post anyways? Regina2006- maybe you could go talk to some other women that have gone through similar stuff in the military. There are chat sites for military peeps only.

I'd suggest doing this just like you would if you were in a civilian job.... tell your chain of command _before_ they hear it from anyone else. Be straightforward, but don't make any excuses for yourself. I'm a__suming you aren't supposed to be having s_x, let alone getting pregnant....?? Good luck to you, and thanks for serving our country.

I was navy and my husband is currently marine so maybe I can offer something. If you need advice on how to tell them try and see a chaplain, I'm not pushing religion but they're always pretty good on advice and can let you know what steps to take without judging. You're deployed and now pregnant so that's cause for concern especially if it happened while you've been deployed, do something as soon as possible. I know it's gonna be hard and you may have some explaining to do to some high-end, but just hang in there. Also you could definately get better advice for your situation at the military.com forums. Tho you know how the military is, you will get judged but the advice may be worth it, and if it's not then don't worry about it you never have to talk to them again. Good luck with everything.

Before anyone says anything - AAFES is in Iraq... They go where you go... uggg... Anyway - if this post isn't a fake, I really feel sorry for you if you don't know the procedure. You have some sort of medical station there, correct? Start there, get the pregnancy confirmed and the ball will start rolling from there. You have to have a confirmed pregnancy before anyone will do anything - least of all, send you back.

Women getting pregnant on depolyments happens more often then most people would think. As a millitary wife I hear the stories. Regina, you aren't the first one and you certainly won't be the last servicewomen to leave Iraq with an extra special "souvineer." Please be careful- talk to you OIC as soon as you confirm the pregnancy. They will get the ball rolling for getting you (and your baby) the care you need and get you home! Good luck- keep us posted...
