I was terminated from my job 2 weeks after I told them I was pregnant because a dr. put me on 2 week medical leave due to afternoon sickness, work said no and fired me. One time it was (5-times in one day) and I was also on a lifting restriction 20-lbs. Work had no other positions they said that they could move me to, for they don't offer disability jobs, they get rid of the people. I offered even part time. Nope. They said absences (which had DR notes), but when filed for unemployment they said no to that and said it was because of lifting restriction, so no unemployment either. Filed with EEOC and now EEOC wants me to get back with them on a fair settlement price... HELP wants a fair price? Has any one ever settled? If so what happen and if you want you could give me an estimate of what to ask for.

I have no idea what a fair price is. What they did was completely inexcusable and they should know they can't treat people that way. I would speak to a lawyer of some sort that could maybe help you figure out what a good price is. If they don't want to give it to you, you could probably get a lawyer to fight for the amount you want, of course you'd have to pay him but I think you can get amounts of money off of these things. Maybe you could get a lawyer who'd let you pay after you recieved your settlement.

I would think imo a fair settlement pirce would be what you should have been getting paid anyway by that I mean since you have been fired they need to pay you from then until the time you would have gone on maternity leave because it will be hard to getanother job being preggo. So your regular wages from the day they fired you until you had planned on being on leave.

I would figure up what your lost wages are during this time, through your pregnancy and through what would have been your maternity leave. I think that is definitely fair.
