Hi, I'm 18 years old, will be 19 in February. My husband abd I got married in July and we are very happy together. He has a great job and I won't have to work, I'll be a stay at home mommy. I wanted to get pregnant and I stayed on birth control for a little while after we got married then I went off of it and waited the recommended three months. The first time we tried to concieve we were successful. Now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade this baby for anything, but I think that many people spend so much time trying to tell little girls about how hard parenting is that they forget to tell how hard being pregnant can be. Even putting aside the phyysical factors which include, but aren't restricted to: Nausea, vomiting, constipation, heartburn, indigestion, insomnia, fatigue, stretch marks and swelling. There are the emotional things too, such as fear that something will be wrong with the baby, worry about every little twinge, feeling fat, because believe it or not, that cute little round tummy doesnt' show up until after you've felt fat for a few months. Now, not everyone will have all of these symptoms, but you will at least have a few of them. Right now, I am so miserable that I haven't smiled in probably 2 weeks. I don't even have anytihng to do either! I can't imagine having all this stuff and going to school. Just a heads up to the girls out there like me who "thought this would be fun".

i was pregnant at 19, 20, and 29, and i loved all my pregnancies, even the 2 that ended up with awful birth experiences, but that faded when they were born and all is well. having the baby after birth, is certainly the hardest part, not the pregnancy
