Are We Getting An Early Start

My wife is 23 and she's in her third trimester. We're having a baby boy. I am 20, therefore I think my baby and I can connect much better, like brothers, than many other sons and dads. We're getting an early start on parenthood. What do you think?

Getting an early start is fine if you are prepared. But I worry about the comment about "connecting like brothers". Your son will not need a brother in you. Be his father. If you want him to connect with a sibling have another child. I know you probably meant well, but I think the problem with parents who are very young, see this as an opportunity to be "friends" with their kids.

Connecting with your child is up to you not him.....You will have to show him what a dad is and what a brother is....I have never heard of 2 borthers being 20 years apart either....so dont worry too much!
