I believe it depends on the person. I had my daughter at 20, me and her father had been together since i was 14 years old. She wasn't planned but i eouldnt change her for the world. I am now pregnant with number 2, btw i am also 23 and happiliy married to my daughters father. I wish you the best. Everyone questions their ability to be a good parent. I also agree with some of the other posts, make sure you have insurance and that you are stable on money. Diaper and formula and child care are expensive. I wish you luck :)

I am eighteen and am pretty sure I am PG right now. I think as long as both partners are commited to each other, and willing to take on the hardships of a child they will be fine

I just want to say to Lin that I totally and completely disagree with your comment. I think having children and raising them is the greatest most important accomplishment in one's life. But most of all, being happy is what is important. That being said, remember; perception is everything.

I too disagree with Lin on this. That comment sounded downright hateful to women who care to be stay at home moms at some point in their lives. I would say if motherhood is a top priority, then it's a top priority and shouldn't be looked down upon. Face it, biologically that's we were put on this earth to do-not be CEO's or super women. Careers are great. I had two children by the age of 22 and am not finishing up my bachelors degree at 27 and intend to continue on to law school. Life is what you make it. Lin, you might check out a book I just finished reading called: "What Our Mothers Didn't Tell Us: Why Happiness Eludes the Modern Woman" It pretty much tells all the failures of the woman's liberation movement and how we are basically working against our biology and human nature by putting off marriage and family in favor of careers and such.
