i stopped my pill half way through my pk (4 March 2006) but got my period or i think it was a period anyways i wasnt due my period thu 16 well today is the 20th and my period hant came yet cud i be pregnant or will my period come thanks

When you stop taking pills in the middle of the pack it throws off your horomones and can cause your period to be early. Thats why the dr.s always advise you to stop at the end of a pack. I would wait til you were at least 2 weeks with no period until testing. But I think that it is because you stoped your bc in the middle of a pack.

Just to let you know, I went off my pills in the middle of the pack, got my period a couple of days later and got pregnant that cylce. So it is possible

Thanks for the advice still havent got my period and a few signs of pregnancy just dark nipple and those little bumps around the nipple also my nipples a little bit sore so i think ill test after easter

Danielle- I got pregnant while on the pill (I'd been on it for two years too) Doctor could barley believe it.....just goes to show you!
They "say" its suppose to stay in your system for up to three months but that a load of bull!!

hmm..i have actually never heard that the pill is suposed to stay in our systems for 3 months. We take a pill everyday because they are such a low dose of hormones after missing the pill for 3 days there is the risk that you will ovulate. I have never hear about the pill staying in your system for 3 months

The hormones from the pill itself does not stay in your system for three months. The reason you are supposed to wait 3 months after going off the pill before trying to concieve, is because it sometimes takes your body that long to sort itself out. For the first few months after the pill, many women have irregular periods because your hormones are still trying to get on track. this makes it very hard to date a pregnancy. so it's not the hormones of the pill that stay in your system for three months, but the lack of taking the hormones can cause an upset in your balance for that amount of time.

i tested but it was a bfn also got my period on the 21 april (Friday) till 24 April (Monday) so im trying not to think about it if it happens it happens good luck to all of you trying hope yous all the best p.s anyone got a piczo site theyd like to share mines is www.imdaniellehi.piczo.com
