What could I be doing wrong? When I squeeze the br___t I get fluid - even to the point of squirting, When the wee-guy nurses there's always milk, But when I put that pump on I can squeeze the little lever (Avent Isis) for 20 minutes and not get a drop!
I would love to give hubby the ability to feed him once an evening - if only so the kitchen gets cleaned to MY standards rather than his! ;)

you could try a different pump but some women's bodys just don't fall for it. i could pump, but my baby wouldn't take a bottle so it was useless anyways. eventually we got into a routine and i was still able to get stuff done. your not going to feel like a 24 hour diner forever. as baby grows it gets easier. i had to wait it out but good luck finding something that works.

You may want to check that all the parts are put together correctly especially that little, white circular thingy in the pump a__sembly. If it's upside down you won't get any suction. Check to make sure you have suction and that there is a seal between the soft plastic and your b___st. It may also help you to let down your milk if you put the baby to nurse on the other side while you are pumping. Good luck.

The pump pulls at my nipple - so there is suction, just no milk....

I have goofy c___p happen with mine sometimes, too (the pump). Try putting the baby on the other side to stimulate letdown. I have a hard time relaxing enough to get the milk to let down. Unless I'm overly full, then it's easy. Some website somewhere has info on pumping. I'm so tired I can't think of it right now. My little one is sick and not sleeping. Sorry.
