Has anyone ever taken Beano to help their baby with gas pains? My son is 2 weeks old and suffers all night with gas pains. I have tried the milicon drops and had no success...I am thinking about taking beano thinking it may pass into my br___t milk and help him out....

I have no idea. Can you phone a lactation consultant and ask?

I took gas-x when i had some cabbage so she wouldn't get gas and it worked. But since the milicon drops don't work and they are made of the same thing i don't know if it would work for you.

Funny, my mom said the same thing but I don't know if it'll help your little one or not. Emma had gas pain that early too and I eliminated milk from my diet and made sure she got burped really good or I'd lay her on my chest and that would help break up the gas in her belly.

Are you certain it is gas? If so, have you eliminated gas-producing foods like peppers, onions, cabbage, broccoli, garlic, cauliflour, beans, etc? It took me a while to figure what was bugging him, but the stuff I listed were the biggest offenders. My baby also seems to have reflux and Pepcid (prescribed by his pediatrician) has really helped him a lot.

P.S. Don't know if your baby has diaper rash, but when I eliminated the foods that I listed, my baby's diaper rash went away.

Sounds like a dairy allergy to me. When I stopped eating dairy products the problem went away.
