my nephew has been BFing ever since. He is now 8 months old. Is there a specific age when he should be encouraged to take the bottle instead?

Good Luck when I talked to my son's doctor he actually recommended BFing until age 3. (that's 3 years, I know I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor)
