How many nursing bras would you suggest having. Also, has anyone heard of a sleeping bra for nursing moms? If yes, would you recommend getting one?

It depends on how often you wash your clothes. You may have some accidents and will always want a couple clean. I would say 7 is good. I do recommend having some without a wire to sleep in unless you are comfortable. I think I bought the ones without wires and they still have decent support for about $12 from Motherhood. I thought that was very reasonable.

I live in canada too. Playtex has nursing bras. I have purchased mine from Walmart and the Real Canadian Superstore (stupidstore) for about $20.00 for the past five years they have not gone up in price since then. Maybe after this posting they will. LOL

I would say at the most, three: two white one black. As you will soon find out, black is not a very practical colour for a new mother (spit and drewl will soon become your badge of honour) so you can get by with only one black bra. I suggest two white because there are always drips and leaks, especially at first. You don't want to go around reeking of milk. You need a fresh change ready. Through your bras in the wash with the baby's load. Usually you do laundry daily or every second day anyway, so you should be okay with two. You will find that as time goes on, that your body will change shape and you will need to update your bras regularily (I have gone through three dramatically different sizes and should really get another) so don't go past three.
