I am having cracked, bleeding nipples. My daughter is 3 months old and I am back at work so I dont nurse I only pump, so I know that its not her latching on wrong. Anyone have any advise? It really hurts!!

I don't really have advice...but I wanted to tell you I also had some problems with the pump! I only used it once and for days after my b___b hurt sooooo bad. I broke out with a fever and everything, so maybe I used it wrong...I don't know.

Have you tried lanolin by the way? it works good for chapped nipples =) I use purelan100

kristina if your b___b hurt, not nipple and you had a fever sounds like mast_tis, you need antibiotics and keep feeding that side, mindee i use kamilosan its good, i also found the pump can have a bad latch too, the nipple has to be right in centre and start off gentle so its not pulling on nipple skin just drawing out milk, so if you pump rea l hard before its let down

By 3 months your nipples should not be cracking still. What pump do you use? You may have the setting on too high. Make sure you air out your nipples as much as possible. They'll heal faster that way. Wear nipple shells in your bra so you can air them out even when you are dressed. I hope it heals up soon because I remember what a painful experience that was.
