mine is 70.00 per hour, 85.00 first hour. the price varies and most will ask for payment upfront then you fill out insurance forms. some will just accept insurance. shop around, some are great.

I don't pay anything. I get advice from the ones at the hosp. I gave birth. Wow, I've never heard of anyone having to pay for one. Well I guess if your hosp doesnt have one you would but I think most hosp. do have them now, right?

i ended up not needing one. i bought one of those nipple shields and tricked my daughter into thinking she was eating from a nipple bottle. i got it from babies r us for 6.00 - saved me a whole lotta money!!!! KH my hospital got lazy with me and talked me into formula. after trying for 30 seconds at the most she told me i couldn't bf my daughter "her mouth is too small" even though the nipples on the bottles for formula are huge. go figure :)

sorry - forgot to tell you guys how long they told me it may take to get the baby back on the b___st. She told me it would take 2-6 weeks, with 2-3 visits a week. so about 300.00 a week, lame huh? glad the shield works. saved me hundreds of dollars...
