mine 2 months old too and she eats 30 ounces a day - during the day and never at night. she is normally knocked out at night from about 8 pm until 6:30 am. she likes to eat 6 ounces every 3 hours too. how many ounces is your baby eating?

Anne, how do you know exactly how much she's getting? are you pumping and supplementing? I wish my baby slept as long as yours!! :)

i give her the b___st but i can never be 100% so i pump and still offer her formula. she really like ta-eat lol

also KH - how old is yours again? does he/she stay up a lot during the day? i give her a bath before bedtime and turn on her nite nite winnie the poo toy. get one, they are awesomeeeee lol.. really makes us sleepy too.

Don't know how many ounces. During the day, her feedings are usually 2-3 hours apart. Her nightime routine is either two four-hour stints or one 6-7 hour stint. I was worried yesterday, because she went about 5 hours between feedings during the day. I finally woke her up and fed her. I'm really worried about her getting her days and nights mixed up, since I had that problem wtih my first daughter. I don't mind her going 4-5 hours without eating during the day, as long as it isn't going to interrupt our happy nighttime routine-lol.

My almost 8 week old is like clockwork - she'll eat at 9 am, 12 pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 5am, 9am again, and sleeps from 9 pm to 5am, and again from 5:30 til 9 a.m. She naps after the 12 pm feeding, but is awake and playful the rest of the time. The few times she's eaten from a bottle, she's had between 6 and 8 ounces.

jamie you have a great schedule there! i got to know my baby by writing down when she was hungry, when slepy for naps, etc. it helps to see it all on paper

I know, I'm so lucky she's already sleeping through the night! I'm pretty sure the only reason she wakes at 5 is cause we co-sleep, and that's when my husband's alarm clock goes off; wakes up the whole family! lol I don't know how I got her to be on such a schedule, because I'm not structured at all - I just fed her on demand, and realized she was like clockwork when I wrote down the times she ate/slept for a sitter.

My 2 month old eats every 3 hours-taking in about 3-4 oz at each feeding. She is a very light eater--but gaining weight just fine. She will sleep for a 7 hour stretch at night.

maggie - how much does she weigh?

Two weeks ago (at her 2 month app't), she weighed 10 lbs 14 oz. She is a little twirp...she was 6 lbs 9 oz at birth. How much does your little one weigh??

her 2 month appt was yesterday (its been 10 weeks since i delivered her however. the appt was a week later than planned). she is 12 lbs. doc thinks she is too big. i cant believe she is though. 1 lbs is ok, no?

Anne-- I think 12 lbs is just fine. I wouldn't worry about it at all. The babies will stop eating when they are full--some will certainly eat more than others. Your little one sounds like she is doing great!
