Not having enough milk is very rare. If you eat properly and drink plenty of fluids your supply should be more than enough. Your milk will come in a few days after you have your baby but your supply won't be fully established for a few weeks. Don't worry, you'll still have enough for your baby. They have tiny little tummies that fill up fast (and empty fast...lol). Good luck and don't worry.

hi there! well, i do understand your concern (i had the same one) but i'd like to tell you that this is the last thing to worry about at 1 1/2 months pregnant! the most important thing right now is to nurture yourself and the new life in your womb as good as possible so that you will deliver a perfectly healthy and strong little baby. don't worry about the milk. you will most likely have exactly what your baby needs. if you do have the feeling that you don't have enough milk - there are tea blends especially for nursing moms, which stimulate milk production. i drink the one called "nursing mom" by yogi tea. i get it at whole foods. avoid drinking peppermint tea from about 36 weeks troughout the time you are b___stfeeding, because peppermint decreases milk production. anyways, congrats to you! enjoy your pregnancy, motherhood is powerful.

It is rare to not have enough milk. Most who claim that just *feel* (not fact) they don't have enough or just didn't get a good start. Anyhow, eat properly and get plenty of fluids as already mentioned. A big factor is nursing as often and as long as you can, especially in the first month...it's all supply and demand. Good luck.

Wanted to add a future note: Don't panic if when pumping you don't get much. Baby is better at it than any machines. I could only get a couple ounces even from the best of pumps, but nursed my son until he was a toddler. I had plenty of milk, trust me. Another thing to remember is don't panic if baby seems to nurse alot, they go through growing spurts every so often and nurse more. Babies also get comfort from nursing and sometimes nurse for that reason. I recommend a book t_tled: The Motherly Art of Breastfeeding. It seems like more work, but it's not. It's very rewarding. Best wishes.
