My son is 10 months old, and he will not take a bottle. He also won't drink formula from a cup. I can't go back to work, or go out for an evening. What do I do??

Ive never weaned a baby before, but can you pump and bottle feed the b___st milk? will he take that? I have heard that alot of babies have nipple confusion, Im lucky my baby is 6 weeks old and loves a bottle, she actually eats better from a bottle. Have you tried a different type of nipple? I probably haev not been much help, but I hope all goes well!! Good Luck!!

Thanks for your response! I have tried many different nipples, and spent a lot of money on them! He wasn't taking the pumped milk either, but I haven't tried recently. Maybe I'll give that another shot! Thanks- Kim

Have you tried leaving the room and getting someone else to feed him. My son would only ever drink from a bottle if someone else fed him

Ya, I've tried it. He screams! He's very much a Mommy suck. It's a nice feeling to know he loves me so much, but I want to be able to go out once in a while too! I have tickets to see Gwen Stephani- hopefully I'll be able to go!!

Just keep trying. He's old enough for you to leave for a couple of hours. Have a person with a lot of patience try to help while you are out. Stay near by and they could call you when they've had enough. My sister's doctor told her that there are just some babies that will never take a bottle. Have you tried many different types of nipples? There are so many different kinds out there and he may take to just one kind. Also, not all sippy cups are the same. My son will only take a certain kind of sippy cup.

If he gets hungry enough, he'll take a bottle.
