I have been br___tfeeding for 30 months now. I have a 30 month old and an 18 month old. I br___tfed the older one throughout my entire pregnancy and once the younger was born and began to dual br___tfeed. I did my DUTY and I want to stop br___tfeeding. My husband left for Mexico with the both of them to help me achieve this task. The last time I fed them was Wednesday morning and today is MONDAY!!! They are still hard and uncomfortable. A little leakage has occurred but no pumping. How much longer should they be engorged? I did go through a day of REAL engorgement on Thursday but now they are just big AND full of milk. I tried the cabbage and binding. Should I be worried of Abscesses or infection? Should I pump? Should I call my doctor? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Contacrt a bresatfeeding consultant or dr or bresatfeeding organizations in your area. LLL .org

do a google search for "decreasing milk supply". I know parsley is something you can eat to decrease, but a lactation consultant can definitely help.

Susan: Has it gotten better yet? I'm interested to know for when I wean my son.

Cold turkey is NOT the way to go, for your sake and baby's. You need to wean gradually. Hope you're ok. I recommend contacting a consultant.

I am not sure about the infection or anything but I do know you can use ice packs (actually I used frozen vegies and a frozen bag of m&ms) to help relieve some of the hurt. It doesnt actually make it better but my b___sts were so HOT feeling that it helped cool me off all over.
