Every person, book, and internet site says I should be leaking by now but Im not. Im 36 weeks pregnant and worried I will never produce enough for the baby. Is this normal. Should I pump now to get things moving?

I never leaked until after birth. I nursed my babies without any suplements. If you want to keep your milk supply up, you shouldn't give any bottles at all. It's a supply and demand system. The more your baby nurses, the more milk your body will make. Find a La Leche League group in your area and go to a meeting before you have your baby if you can. You will get so much good information there, you will feel more prepared for motherhood. Their website is lalecheleague.org. Stop worring everything will be fine.

hi there I have three sons and I am on my fourth pregnancy my first sons pregnancy did not allow lactation until about a week before he was born. the second child is only 19 months younger than the first ahnd i nursed the first for a year and was still producing minute quant_ties throughout the second son gestation Number three took 5 years to come along and I stsrted leaking half way through. But with this one Im 31 weeks and not lactating at all but not worried at all either. I trust my body and that my baby will know what to do because they usually do. As for expressing pls don't until after baby is born . But if you do want a suggestion for help and you're comfortable with it, ask your significant other to help you outin that department.
