I have a 2 month old son and my doctor has put me on a progestin only pill. I hope to space my children 2 years apart, though, and I am thinking of holding off and using condoms vs. cycling on and off the pill in less than a year. Can anyone share their experiences with these pills? Mood swings? Weight gain or loss? I did not have positive experiences with other pills in the past and was wondering if these would be any different. There are many different brands but if you are br___tfeeding, a progestin only pill would be what you would have been prescribed. Thanks in advance.

Jen I have a 10wk old and was put on this. It is errin (micronor) I think right??? It is progestin only. I feel like I stay hungry but I think that is bf in general. I am not gaining or loosing. From what i hear this pill just thickens the cervical mucus so as soon as you com off, it should be fairly easy to get preggo again

I use this pill and I did stop losing weigh once I started taking it. I attributed that to b___stfeeding because I think your body holds onto some pounds while b___stfeeding. I don't think my mood swings are any worse than they were before. My hubby doesn't do well with condoms and that is the reason my first beautiful child is here. I can't leave birth control up to him! I think you should try it out and see how your body reacts.

Thanks Dawn C and C. I'll give it a shot. I have hypothyroidism and I am very pet_te and so I have never had much luck with pills. Hopefully this will be a better experience.
