I want to br___tfeed my baby who will be here in 2 days so badly but I am on Klonopin for my panic attacks and I cannot seem to get off it. I get panic attacks so darn badly that when I cut back on my medication or try to get off of it I get house bound. I have tryed other safe medications for my panic attacks but they don't seem to work! Please help!

What does your doctor say? If s/he does not advise you to take it while bf, then you probably shouldn't bf. Bf is very demanding, especially in the early weeks/months. You will need all the help you can get and if your medication keeps you even-keeled, then take it and give your baby formula. . . unless your medication is safe to take during bf, which it doesn't like it is.

I found this at WebMD: This drug pa__ses into b___st milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Therefore, b___st-feeding while using this medication is not recommended. Consult your doctor before b___st-feeding.

Yes my doctor actually put me on Klonopin when I was 2 months into my pregnancy, due to the fact that my panic attacks were so severe. Thanks for your advice Erin!!
