I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my fourth pregnancy, but this is the first that has progressed even close to this far (two previous miscarriages and one ectopic). My br___ts have not really grown much during this pregnancy, although I did go from D to DD during an earlier pregnancy, and stayed that way. I wear a 42DD bra, and am wondering what size nursing bra to buy. Any advice for guessing the future size? Or recommendations for even finding a larger-sized bra? There aren't any maternity shops in or even relatively near my town that might specialize in such things, and the department stores carry nothing larger than 42DD. I bought one that size last night, and it is rather comfy, but I doubt it will still fit when my milk comes in. Many thanks!!!

I would wait until after your milk comes in before buying a nursing bra. I was a 32 B when I got pregnant, 36 D when I gave birth, and a 32 F when my milk came in. But, not every woman gains as much size. http://store.yahoo.com/breakoutbras/senusobyfafr.html is the bra I bought - it came within days, and fits wonderfully. I only bought 1 at first, because of the price, but I now have 5 and love them all.

I was a 36 A pre-pregnancy and borderline 38C when my milk came in, and am now nursing and wearing a 36C. Does the hospital where you are delivering have a store that sells medical equipment and nursing bras? That is where I got mine. The salesgirl was a trained fitter and sized me for one the day my milk came in, which was my last day at the hospital. If you can't get one at the hospital, maybe you can buy just a couple nursing bras online in a 42 F and 42G to see what will work best. Just make sure you can return them.
