Which Brand Of Electric Pump

I'm expecting my 2nd baby in Jaunary. I pumped at work for 5 months with a lower model Medela pump. I would like a better pump and try to go an entire year. What are your preferences and why? I'm really debating between the Medela Pump In Style and the Ameda Purely Yours. The Ameda is about half the price of the Medela, I'd spend the money if the pump is that much better. I just don't know!!

I got the Medela In Style at a children's exchange store for $79.00 used. Everything was in the case and it was in really good shape. I see them for sale on e-bay too. I plan on using this when I go back to work and I've been using it while on leave to start freezing milk.

I, too, used the Medela Pump In Style - loved it! Worth every penny. And check around pricewise. If you want new, the prices vary greatly between medical supply companys - also check local pharmacies. I'm buying a replacement parts package (new tubing, etc.) and found it cheapest at a local pharmacy. I haven't heard anyone who owns a Ameda say they like it much. Also, check your health insurance - mine (Medica) used to cover 80% of b___st pumps... no longer, but it's worth checking into.
