here my question: how is that with brestfeeding when the little ones have teeth? do they bite? this must be very painful.. and if they bite - how can i teach him not to bite? my little one doesn't have any teeth yet but he pinches my nipples sometimes - not very hard, it doesn't hurt, but if he would have teeth i guess my nipple would be bitten hard! anyone any experience? thanks in advance...

Sometimes it happens. My son only did when falling to sleep. It hurt bad, he'd clamp his jaws shut. I would just put my finger in his mouth to pry his jaws apart. It was on accident, so I couldn't really teach him not to.

Yes, they bite and it hurts : ) What I did was this-when she bit, I tried to not freak out (they find that funny). I would pull her into my b___st, which would cover her nose and make her let go. I had read this technique somewhere and it really does work. You can't let the baby think it is entertainment to bite with a big reaction (although it is certainly hard NOT to react in a BIG way!)
