I'm on birth control, and started my period the day after I started the pill. I'm on ortho-tricyclen.

Im not on the pill but b___stfeeding doesn't affect your period at all. the only thing that i have very heavy cramping that last thru out the four days. but your period can affect your supply it lowers a bit because of all the hormone changes. just make sure you have enough liquids, and try to take it easy.

I b___stfed exclusively for the first 6 months, then started adding foods. I wasn't on any birth control, and didn't start my period till 8 minths when she was eating more and taking formula every now and then. My sister was 10 months before she got hers ( same feeding schedule)

Breastfeeding totally effects your period. The frequency of nursing is the key. With my daughter I didn't get my period for 15 months! Then when I did I only had it every 45th day ish. Gradually it got back to 28 days. My son is 5 months and I haven't had it yet! Yea for nursing!!
