Feel Like Husband Isn T Helping

My baby is 2 weeks now, and I have been br___tfeeding exclusively. I'm exhausted and have hardly gotten any sleep during the nights when i'm feeding, while my husband sleeps soundly next to us. He doesn't get up to help diaper, or even play with the baby at night (he's not working btw), so I feel like im doing everything. And, during the day he hands the baby off to me at the first sign of fussyness, saying he's hungry. I'm depressed, tired, and feel restless about being in one room nursing all day... and now, he decides to go out to a bar, saying that he needs to get out?! What am i missing? Am i wrong in feeling this way?

Heck no you're not wrong. My husband did the same thing. Fortunately, you are VERY close to the point where the feedings will start tapering off - 3 weeks. They'll space out. What I suggest is get a nice one-hand pump; nurse one side, pump the other. Then, when Dad pa__ses you a fussy baby who's hungry, hand the baby back, along with a bottle of expressed b___st milk, so hunger isn't an excuse anymore. After the baby's done eating, when Dad tries to hand him back, simply tell him to change the baby's diaper, and don't take the baby back. Alternate feedings with Dad, so that it's fair on him, too.
