it took my daughter 7 weeks to latch and I pumped for that time - very frustrating. I know how you feel. Make sure her belly is flat against your upper belly and make sure she opens wide.

My baby had to start off using bottles at the hospital because she inhaled maconium and I couldn't b___stfeed her until she got out. When I attempted to start b___stfeeding, she wouldn't latch on so the nurses gave me a nipple shield to use until she latches on properly. I still haven't been able to get her to latch on yet, but the nipple shield works wonders to get her to eat from my b___st without having to pump and give her a bottle. She takes it very well and there is no ha__sle. If you are really frustrated still, maybe you should try using it. Good luck!

I used a nipple shield too. Otherwise I would have quit. It didn't stop my milk from coming in as they said it might. After a few weeks I started taking it out after a minute. Now, I don't have to use it at all. If you don't want to use one, make sure you get a lot of your b___st in her mouth. Take you b___st and squeeze it like a sandwich. Just the front part of your b___st.
