How long after giving up br___tfeeding does lactation cease? My baby is now 5 months old and I gave up br___tfeeding a month ago. Is it ever possible to re-establish br___tfeeding after a period of non-br___tfeeding?

Yes, it's called relactation. It will be easier if you haven't dried up completely. Talk to your doctor about it. Also, start latching your baby and have him/her use you for comfort. The nipple stimulation will trigger lactation again. But, it could take weeks.
