I have a 16 week old who is exclusively br___tfed and his diapers seem really runny - almost liquid at times. Not every diaper is runny but he has at least one runny one each day or every other day. The color is yellow which I know is normal but I haven't been able to find any info on the consistency.....does it sound normal? I br___tfed my daughter 4 years ago and don't remember them being so runny. Any advice is appreciated.

Ben's diapers can get like that too. I am not worried as he seems generally content and is gaining weight, etc. I figure it is due to somethingin my diet that throws the consistency off but isn't so bad that it makes him fuss or anything.

I mean, if I think about it, there are certain foods that affect the consistency of my stool, but didn't really bother me otherwise. I kind of figure that the same goes for the baby. Maybe my logic is flawed, but it is the best I've got! :)

How long do you feed on one side? Be sure to feed at least 15 minits on the same side. Sometimes runny poop indicates they are not getting to the fatty part of the milk, which comes at the end.

My baby also has very runny yellow diapers. She is gaining enough weight though and dr. is not concerned. Also, my daughter, at times does not eat anywhere near 15 minutes on one side. I was concerned b/c her meals are so short, but the pediatrician told us not to worry about the amount of time b/c baby will stop when she is full.
