for the past couple days my 3week old as been spitting up. hes completely br___tfed and someone told me br___tfed babies dont spit up unless something's wrong, but ive read otherwise...that its really common. but the fact that its been a new thing...starting a couple days ago im curious if this is normal, or if he might not agree with some recent foods ive eaten, eats too much in a sitting, or if somethings wrong.

Well if b___stfed babies aren't supposed to spit up then my daughters been sick from day one!! They do spit up just like formula fed abbies and there probably isn't a problem. If that's the only problem he's having wait until your month check up and ask your doctor about it or take him in sooner to ease your mind. My daughter was spitting up from the beginning and sometimes it would come out of her nose at the same time!! Scared the c___p out of me! When I mentioned it to my sister she said " Oh yeah, that's the two-fer. Connor used to do that all the time". She's weird but her nonchalance helped ease my mind.

My son spits up more when I nurse him as opposed to when he gets formula. If it's a forceful vomit, then you need to metion it to his doc. I still mention anything to my babies doctor that I think is weird. If he's just spitting up a little, he's probably just filled his belly up a little too much. Things that seem to help my baby is to keep him in an upright position after he eats. I also lay him on his belly after he eats as opposed to his back. I never do this at night because they don't recommend them sleeping on their backs so I only do it when I'm in the same room with him.
