Hi, I'm in a similar position as you it would seem. I've very much enjoyed b___stfeeding for almost 5 months now, but I'm preety keen to stop now. Do you just stop and put up with engored b___bs and just wait for the milk production to slow down...? Are there such things as "drying up" pills?

Don't just stop cold turky! You will have pain, and could get a bad b___st infection. It is also better for your baby if you stop gradually. Get some help from a lactation consultant. They can help you work out a program that will be best for you and your baby.

I weened my son at 18 mo. it was very hard, my b___sts were huge and engorged, i could barely touch them, i couldnt even sleep on my side or stomach. It took me a month and a half. I think when you ween you should to it VERY slowly, like 2 mo . To ease the pain.... hot showers

I decided to stop b___stfeeding when my daughter bit me and actually drew blood. I tried to stop slowly... but I guess it wasn't slow enough. I am in a lot of pain. It is only my left b___st so I guess I am lucky, but I need to know is there ANYTHING I can do to ease the pain?

Maryann, you may have a clogged duct or mast_tis. Call your doctor.

cold turkey weaning could lead to alot of problems. mast_tus is NO FUN. even if you wnt baby off the b___st immediatly it's a good idea to gradually pump down your b___sts.
