When I start pumping the milk flows great for about a minute. Then it just trickles or stops. I can release the suction and start again and it works fine for another minute or so. I know that there's enough there because if my baby eats right then, I can hear her swallowing it. I purchased a very good electric pump, so there should be no problem. Any suggstions to make the milk contine to flow after that initial minute?

Same here... I would love to know what is happening. I bought the Medela Pump In Style. Not the best but should be adequate for occasional bottles.

E- I talked to a lactation consultant...try relaxation techniques, smell an article of your baby's clothing, look at baby's picture, try nursing baby while pumping other side, or rolling your sholders, have someone rub your sholders, ma__sage the b___sts before pumping, or try hand expression. I tried all of them and it didn't seem to do the job. Then I tried brewers yeast. Drink a beer or take brewers yeast tablets available at any drug store. It's going a lot better now. Hope this helps you too. Good luck.
